5:08......The Uprisings!......This could have been avoided by "Grooming" contacts with the Aristocracy! (Many of whom wanted a more liberal way without losing lands, etc. Human Nature decrees this to be so!) a compromise could have been made to please both factions!
2:38..."The Taming Of Nature"......Only a fool thinks nature can be crushed. Every skyscraper you all see will crumble one day as flowers push through to the sun! And all will seem as if not one forest had ever been cut!
@martenlander - Is it really too bad? Does everything ever touched by the Nazis or enjoyed by them have to also symbolize evil? Why not French wine? My grandfather used to tell me about hiding casks in a vineyard because the Germans wanted the wine more than food or cash.
Its too bad the Nazis took 'national socialism' too far. Like most Germans, at least those with any hint of national pride, they admired and were proud of Wagner, and who wouldn't love his music?

@1theforest Wagner wasn't a Nazi, and the History channel is even more obsessed with the National Socialist Party.

It is too bad the Nazis used this great opera for all the wrong reasons, namely national socialism.

The Ring is where Tolkien got his idea for Lord of the Rings.

It is interesting when I heard his description of the late 19th century because it exactly sounds like the world we live in today
