Pretty awesome descent. Never got a chance to give it a shot when I visited Colorado for the first time in back in April, but did ride down Magnolia Road. Check it out above. Was being quite cautious as it was a blind run, so didn't hit much more than 50mph.
not sure...it's a tricky descent so you can't really take too many risks. People have been known to die on this descent from hitting cars or going off the side. A friend of mine actually smacked a deer once while roller-blading down it. I tend to be a bit conservative on most of it, but I'd say I've probably hit mid 40's on some sections.
Pushing it - I've hit 56mph between the top switchbacks and the very steep section after the fire station, and again between the amphitheater turn off and the upper bouldering area. No deer.
Old Stage Rd. is faster and straighter but has a stop sign at the bottom.

How hard is the climb for a beginner? Is there any shot I'd make it the whole way up? I haven't ridden in a few years

Just moved to Boulder from flat and low Ohio. The ride down is terrifying! Too much sand and gravel in the turns from the continuous erosion.

The "stare down" at the beginning is hilarious. What's your record speed on this descent?
Thanks for the ride.
