There is also a problem with the windshield wiper blade taking a set. This is when the blade stays bent over for an extended period of time. I use a spring loaded clothespin. I just clip it onto the blade frame between the frame and the windshield. Voila ! This will hold the blade off the windshield then I just cover the blade with a cover does not touch the blade which could also bend the blade.
