  • is this handbrake turn only for rear wheel drive cars?

  • My mate tried handbrake turning in his 1.4 corsa and he was driving at only 30mph as soon as he lifted up the lever he didn't hold in the button to release it and we clipped a curb and rolled over in an asda car park... was the funniest thing to happen in my life haha

  • so basically, they're drifting =.=

  • thumbs up if you thought that the name box is an anotattion !

  • When i grow up, i'll be a rally driver.

    Oh wait, too late...

  • @Arctic222Avenger Not necessarily.... I have no idea how old you are, but a LOT of the top rally drivers don't start any form of racing (other than fooling around in street cars) until their 20s.

  • rally is a thing of beauty

  • normal 4wd cars can't use the hand brake for turning.. cause it locks all the wheels

  • @ProjectNinjaSlime no it doesnt u retard...

  • @MegaTedmond What I meant is the 4wd doesn't disengage for the back wheels fast enough on NORMAL cars... the car in the video isn't a normal car

  • @ProjectNinjaSlime you need to use your clutch.

  • @ProjectNinjaSlime The handbrake on a normal car is only on the rear wheels, just like the rally cars.

  • Hydraulic Ebrake but also good sport suspension... but I did this stuff on my old 94' Opel, the handbrake does not work so good anymore and the tires wear fast... haha wasted my cash and time but I don't want it back, it was well spent.

  • wippin it

  • What is the stering lock degrees on a WRC car ?

  • @666patrickbateman666 its not much more than the normal car, but the steering rack has quicker gearing, which means you turn less to get more lock as compared to your road car

  • WRC handbrake turn

  • The color-coded brake/handbrake/throttle diagram is technically incorrect... if you hold the handbrake until the apex of the turn, you're toast. He only pulls it (as he said "for a couple of tenths of a second") at the entrance, then free-slides until he has a straight shot out of the turn.

  • @garretwd its correct. he pulls the handbrake only after getting off the brakes = turning in a little, then only pulls the handbrake for a bit, and immediately gets on the power as the tail comes out.

  • haha so fuuny, what teacher teaches without a helmit haha.

  • Damn... Thats A sexy ass subbie

  • hydraulic break ebrakes are sick my friend got on in his 240sx

  • i want a hyrdolic handbrake on my diesel mondeo

  • @dougster84 Hydraulic Ebrake can be retrofitted quite easily on every car.

  • Exactly.

  • You don't have AWD.

  • what are you on about boi?

  • why does their handbrakes look so different? like a stick that faces up instead of down like er this subaru is 90 degrees up and normal cars are about 20 degrees

  • It's hydraulic ebrake, so lever can be moved everywhere. It's near the steering wheel, to be easy to access.

  • So it will be easier to pull on turns like these.

  • @powerfoxz Its there so its easier to grab, becouse in a normal car u dont need 2 hit the e brake on corners, in rally they use them all the time.

  • @powerfoxz the whole car is different lol

  • All rally driver are nuts @_@

  • to whoever gives this guy a thumbs down, I'm pretty sure he means it in a good way.

nuts, as in "crazy good drivers"

  • In fact, I say that in a good way xD

But thank you for trying to help.

  • haha, you got it. rally is such an intense motor sport. I agree that these drivers are freaking nuts!!

  • do you need AWD? or cn u do it with RWD?

  • you shouldn't need AWD to do this. As a matter of fact, it should require less work by drivers using RWD cars. FWD cars can do this too, but they also need the handbrake to swing the rear end around.

  • kool. thanks :)

  • a quick tug

  • Cool video.

  • That was a great explaination! Thanks

  • holy crap that subies fast

  • amazing

  • yeah e-brake corners are real goodies

(not for the cabel droven e-brake but there is a hydraulic e-brake)

  • could u explain more about the hydraulic e-brake

  • hydraulic side-brakes are more responsive and less likely to break/wear out

  • its not independent

  • Good
