Of course - I totally understand. This type of commercial would FAIL in the U.S, that's for sure. In Japan, spokesperson for products is such a big deal (more so than in the Western world) because they basically want to personify everything inanimate - that's why in Japan there's a mascot / spokesperson for almost everything - from food products to organizations, etc. It's a weird country, but somehow they make a lot of sense to me, LOL (maybe it's because I'm Asian? God knows)
