what's with all the comments about being high whilst listening to this music? You don't need the drugs! The music can have the same effect on its own!
I'm using Light out Asia to influence my composition for A2 Music Technology. Their drums are always so interesting! The harmonies are beautiful! The musical elements of their song are so simple, but the music itself is so complex! Got alot of work to do to match this standard!!!
Lights out Asia is primarily an instrumental band, u are not going to find lyrics for this reason. Simply AMAZING! I really dig this music! SOOOOOO powerful!
Lights out Asia has no lyrics posted anywhere on the web. I think that's part of their mystique. Most of their songs have no lyrics, but the few that do, you can't tell what their saying. It's a mysterious tactic to say the least...
@frirajdowiec No, I definitively would rather have this photo than one of Chernobyl as you can see because I don't do literal interpretations of songs. Too obvious, I choose photos based on feel.
Many say that art is our expression of emotions. I would have to say post-rock, such as LOA, Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, Dirty Three, GS!YBE, SMZ, God is an Astronaut, Collapse Under The Empire, Maybeshewill... (too many unheard of bands) are direct expressions of the purest spirituality.
I have to completely agree w/ timson88!! OMG! I thought Hammock was my favorite ethereal / post-rock band, until I just now stumbled upon LOA. Absolutely incredible talent.
And once again, I stumble upon a post-rock/ambient band that i've never heard of, yet worthy of the greatest amount of praise in regards to their musical endeavors. Sad, yet fitting that bands such as this are not "discovered", or whatever that means. I like to think they prefer to keep it that way...
This song seems to uplift all the previous emotions that had been in me and fill me with an entirely new sense of being. It's like I'm dreaming. Beautiful, simply beautiful!
It is SO COOL that a lotta folks are watching, listening and really DIGGING on this group and other cool ambient soundscape artists, following the dynamic progressive experimental ballad-jazz-trance-cosmic spacey heritage of those masters like Oldfield, Eno, Burmer, Roach, Pink Floyd, T-Dream .. and others, in a format now called Post-Rock -- It's been like 24 years ago that this 'new' post-classic genre totally captured my heart and mind, helping me to transcend darkness and pain to see light.
So cryptic and ominous...If your familiar with the Chernobyl disaster, the sinister sounds on this song fit the events so perfectly...If you notice, Lights out Asia use "Russian" themed songs in a lot of their material...Why this is is debatable, but I think it has something to do with Russia being identified by most Americans as "the other", and "the other" is always mysterious and intriguing.

If anyone is interested in the Russian at the start, it's like:
bloke 1 - Our Lord in heaven, forgive what we've done to this place.
bloke 2 - We are absolved. We are absolved.
bloke 1 - I doubt.
bloke 3 - Russian foreign export
bloke 2 - We are absolved.
I don't really get it, but hey, it provides good mood. There's another LoA song with Russian in it - I'll translate that one too.

I hate all these comments about drugs. You don't have to be fucking high to enjoy this kind of music...

You'd rather put some Chernobyl photo instead of this frozen lake. But still thanks for upload.

If only! Lights Out Asia is a superb artist. The world would be a better place if their songs would be more popular.

The beginning of this songs literally reminds me of the ghosts of chernobyl when it exploded. One of my most favorite songs on my itunes.
