Good work on this. Just a few questions:

1. If doing this under lights, would it help using a fan to reduce the temp on the soles? Also placing the shoes in an ice-box?

2. Is the sole seperation caused by the heat alone, or a reaction of the product with the heat? Would it still happen if the shoes was out in the sun without the product?

3. Is the retrobrite formula equally as effective as this updated version? And do you know the chemical name of oxi-clean?

@jarteaga87 That's worth a shot. If you can create a new technique, that'll be effing awesome. I wanted to try something with mirrors before. Yes, measure the temps but cover the other parts of the shoe. You don't want the patent leather yellowing or other parts to heat up. - the camera guy

@21cjilla The sauce is not the direct cause of traction loss. It's the heat and exposure to direct sunlight that causes traction loss. That is why you need to put the traction paper over the pods to prevent traction loss on those areas. Plus, by using short sessions, you minimize traction loss on the rest of the clear sole. It's all about technique. It would work similarly for sea glow I think. - the camera guy
