Super Sonic works too. (you need a FULL SET. If you do even one of the S&K special stages, even failing to, you must get all the super emeralds to access Doomsday Zone. If you miss all the giant rings, you get to go through it as Super Sonic

nope.... you'll still turn into super sonic if you go through the s&k stages... you just won't go into super sonic during the normal levels.

you can just be supersonic but then you wont get the true ending that you get with hypersonic where the masteremerald has a glow effect like superknuckles has
