@bajabusta - and what other cars don't have metals that are not mined from materials that have to be transported/shipped across large distances? Its not as if you can declare it less green than other cars on this basis.

Hummer's frame (for example) contains twice as much nickel as a Prius frame...

Diesels are the best here we call them the 2 liter 'torque of the town' - 650 km on a full tank!
