awesome video! shows people how we really have it made out there., lol To me its just another day at the office. Believe you me, after 10 years of accident free driving, I have seen my share
Truck driving is really something important. In 2004 I made a couple of interviews and got some nice stories at OBT Truck Stop in FL. These stories are at Yahoo Contributor Network. Their names are: On the Road for America: Sunshine and Night Walker; On the Road for America: 9/11 Story; Life on the Road for America.
@ufunkybastard thank you for pointing that out! a trucker would do any thing he could to stop from hitting a car! if he really wants to keep people safe he would turn the wheels and hit a ditch for a family of four! any trucker who would not do that is damn selfish! and yes, 80% of U.S road accindents happen because of stupid drunk idiots or high and crazy high school kids! often it involves an idiot who forgets a turn signal, but hell. they do what they can to do there part in keeping ppl ok.
@btoclub Good for you try driving a truck for 13 14 hours straight because you have time limits, plus most times you have to load the truck. Get your butt up and move stuff around to make sure the weight is right. While you sit comfortable in your office chair, their making sure you got your freakin power bar, and your stupid computer you use as an armchair idiot.
@btoclub let me tell u something not all truck drivers are fat or wear jogging pants every truck driver i have ever seen wears blue or black jeans with there shirt tucked in with a belt around them so u can just fuck right off people like u have no idea what its like to be a truck driver its hard as hell because of ass holes like u don't respect what we do for u
@btoclub Obviously you are a ignorant S.O.B. who doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. All I've ever done is drive a truck and i love it. The days i hate it is when i meet a dumbass 4 wheeler like you on the road who obviously has no respect for himself because he is cutting off trucks and and not only putting his own life in danger but the ones around him/her.
You want to blame your accidents on cars yet in 90% of these pictures it shows big rigs ramming other big rigs or big rigs who were driving to fast for road conditions or trying to save time (like beating a train at a crossing).
I would say 85-90% of all big rig wrecks are the truck drivers fault. But I know, it's easy and convenient to blame the little guy (4-wheelers), isn't it?
Truck drivers need to slow down and the trucking industry needs better training standards- education too.
everything you're wearing on your back and everything you sit your sorry ass on came on a truck. you fuckin 4 wheelers do cause a lot of accidents, of course there are times when the driver of the truck is at fault, but most of the time its motherfuckers like you.GIVE US OUR FUCKIN RESPECT, BITCH. we keep America movin
Of all the accidents involving big rigs, most of the time it is the big rigs fault. Forget those shit statistics put out by the trucking industry blaming cars. And of course overall there will be more "4-wheeler" crashes because 98% of the traffic on the road are cars!
i'm an ex-truck driver and my father still drives....4-wheelers are stupid and ignorant....and they are the ones that bitch and complain about truck drivers....if they think they can do better then i'd LOVE to see them drive a tractor trailer.....most of them would be afraid to get out of thier first gear!!! (depending on load and truck)
I survived a wreck as bad as some of these pictures here. A suicidal car driver deliberately rammed me head on on a two lane highway. Truck driving is a very dangerous job, far more dangerous than police work and you get shit on from every angle. Many of you car drivers are only alive because of the good driving of a trucker. Yeah, some truck drivers are assholes but most are good folks who do a very dangerous job that would make many people shit their pants yet people treat us like crap.
pt 2...truck behind you....I have seen these atleast 50 times in one year! simply go to the next exit get off do a flip get back on in the other direction and get your exit again. its that easy. and to all the other drivers. stay safe always to come home another day!
I have seen alot of stupid things in my time on the road. and its a shame that everytime it involves a truck the sterotype is always hmmm well guess the truck driver fell asleep, or was high on drugs, or some other stupid remark...fact is...the percentage shows that most accidents are caused by the car not the truck. be smart when your out on the road. one thing I have seen over and over and can never figure out why...when you miss your exit ramp WHY slam on your breaks when you have a 80k lb
@yoyomann86 you cant say cars cause the most wrecks and you cant say its the truckers either its human error weather its a truckers fault or a 4 wheelers fault it all stems from someone being considerate to one another. i have seen truckers do stupid crap and vice versa. My thanks to all the hard working truckers out there.
Thank you so much for these pictures. These remind us, as truck drivers, what is waiting on the road every single day. The music was very appropriate and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you again.
@VargaPesta Maybe, but they wouldn't die if they tried to respect the safe distance the truck driver is trying to establish, or would stop trying to cut them off. An 18 wheeler does not stop on a dime. It takes 7 seconds to stop it. If every motorist remembered that, there would be less casualties amongts car drivers.

I drove truck and in my heart am still a truck driver. I have seen both sides, spending 20 years in police work then going back to driving trucks. I went from trucking to police work but never stopped wishing I had stayed in trucks, thus my return to trucking. This year I had a wreck in my truck caused by some past medical problems that came back on me. I will probably never get to return to trucking which breaks my heart. Just drive safe don't be in a hurry and watch the other drivers.
@Internettroll1 I have been in the army (29 commando brigade) That is arguably tough. now been driving various type of hgv for past 5 year's' any one can swing a sledge hammer' get a life' grow up' and have some respect'
@Javitbunta Go kill some arabs u fucking robot programmed to do what youre told all of u roid raging coke sniffing tough guys are wyh dont u go haze the new addoition to the peons u dont have time to post go drive over a land mine white power.
@Javitbunta Why dont u just eat your way to death jabathehut whats that?? i think i can hear the pizzas at pizzahut calling u. STOP EATING U DEPRESSED RETARD
well if you consider trucking and you have a wife you should take her with you
cause you know that neigbor shes been eyeing oh yeah its definately going to happen when your out for 28 days seen it happened to many times out here.
ive done this job for 5 years and im throwing in the towel. im 28 years old and ive about fucking had it with all these old school, shit talking, mostly peterbilt driving assholes. ive had it with being classified as a rookie all the time, disresoected by everyone, being away from home for too long. im finding me another job and thats the end of it. believe me i will stop family and friends and anyone else who even thinks about getting their cdl. i wish someone would have stopped me.
@TwiztdTruckr25 ---i am married and have 2 kids. i have a decent job but pay is soso. not too much and not that les. i was thinking of going into trucking. what do you suggest?? i am looking for honest opionion and gudance on it. is it really very tiring at the end of day?? would appreicate ur feedback. thanks
As of now Im still trying to get my foot in the door with Swift. My blood pressure has been an issue and Im doing my best to control it. I want to suceed in my trucking career and maintain good health.
I had open heart surgery three years ago.Does anyone think this will stopme from being a truck driver? Are there any strick physical requirements? I got the ok from my doctor, is that enough?
My husband is a truck driver OTR & I just went out w/ him for a month on the road...I saw first hand how stupid people can be & I thank GOD everday for keeping my husband safe & all those other truckers out there just trying to make a livin & take care of their families. God bless you all my fellow truckers Gods speed!!
@ABellaRoseMe in the 3 years Ive been in the trucking industry, ive have seen a lot of tractor trailers wrecks and seen pictures of destroyed trucks and trailers. it was enought to convince me that this can happen to me if I am not careful. ive have seen the ignorance of people's attitudes towards truckers on the road by tailgating, cutiing off traffic and not following safe distances. Siple education and common sense should show you the dangers of driving recklessly
@ABellaRoseMe But do these stupid, unsafe motorists listen? No!! They have to learn the hard way and that will cost them their life or someone's else. I would like to see that the DOT of all states bring out programs to teach new drivers, including young drivers, on the dangers of cutting off 18-wheelers and how iportant it is to practice safe driving. And I sure as hell dont recomend watching Fast and furious movies!
@ABellaRoseMe As a trucker Ive convinced myself that I want and will do the right thing by driving safe and being couteous to other motorists. if Dumb motorists don't appreciate it, "so be it." Be couterous anyway. Better to be the better person/driver.
@ABellaRoseMe And, on a personal note: We truckers are human beings. We dont get to see our freinds and family as often as you 4-wheelers. Its not a 9 to 5 job: this job is 7 days a week, 24hrs a day. Average time out on the road- 3-4 weeks, maybe more. Not only we are keeping the economy of our country rolling, we are makin a living for ourselves and our families. But i will not drive recklessly and kill another human being to do it. I wont.
@ABellaRoseMe All I want to hear a motorist tell me "Thank You for your service." I feel good that I am making a difference. Fell free to send me a line anytime, ok God bless. Keep on trucking.
I've been trucking since 1987, I've seen a little bit. I know for one thing there are alot more trucks out here now, which means there are alot more bad truck drivers on the road now (same goes for cars), but it really pisses me off when some so called professional driver about, sideswipes, tries to take the front end off my truck , and drives like a 18year old on steriods...Before we can get back any respect from Joe public, we have to gain respect from the trucking industry. BE SAFE, V/R
I have seen some horrible accidents out there, though, most have been the fault of four-wheelers. All I can say to truckers is cover your ass and make sure you are in the right; logbook is most incriminating evidence you have.
thank you driver glad to see some of this stuff on the net if only we as drivers could get some kind of program started for the young drivers today to educate them on the dangers of cars and trucks so they will be more respectful on the road. phantom
I received training from SChlumberger, and it was the kind of training a automobile driver should be forced to master before getting license. The encountering the Tractor and trailer and the kinds of respect you should have for the situation needs to be part of driver training. But I also notice the lack of courtesy both ways, everybody seems to be getting more aggressive and less attentive with distractions like texting going on etc.
im a local driver down here in denver we locals get kinda use to it 4rom 4 wheelers. we're in the city all day but all u otr's much respec,t you guys dont get close calls most of the time its a contact sport with an injury an we still get blamed with a dot inspection. i tried to get dmv to involve safety with big rigs all they did was stare at me.
Here in Minnesota they have no classes for new drivers on how to deal with trucks. As a truck driver myself, I pray they do soon because it's getting bad. People don't know what to do around a truck.
I think we need to remember how important bus and truck driving is. Even with planes and ships, you still need a method by which to transport peoeple and supplies accross land. Don't ever let anyone laugh at someones son or father for being a driver.
This is a great example of squeezer which is one of the hazard of right hand turners at 1:03 to prevent the squeezer to get by you, you should position your truck, no more than 4 foot away from the curb. oh at 1:11 thats the nightmares of being a Greyhound Bus driver if you see the roof of the crushed bus.
This is a great example of squeezer which is one of the hazard of right hand turners at 1:03 to prevent the squeezer to get by you, you should position your truck, no more than 4 foot away from the curb.
here is some of the deffination, Accident is an unplanned event that causes time, money and affects others, accident happenes because of unsafe behavior, and learn the 300/29/1 rules.
I grew up driving a truck and had my CDL for almost 14 years and the Driving schools need to do more training before someone is sent out on the road.. We all take a big risk from just plain dumb drivers..Ty Sidealide 23.. I have not heard the 300/29/1 In years.. As drivers we spend more time on the road then most so more chances of accidents to happen
if your a truck driver or planning to become one, please remmember the 300/29/1 because 300 unsafe behavior that result 29 injury accident and 1 Death, and remember to maintain a 5 second distance from the vehicle infront of you.
@sideslide23 It's not 5 seconds... it's 1 second for every 10 feet of vehicle length plus 1 second if over 40 mph. A 60 foot long truck at 45 mph = 7 seconds.
@aguyinpostfalls sorry I did most of my driving study with Greyhound and they say 5 second following distant I get it, since the motorcoach is 40 foot and the truck is 60 ft long I get you now. any way I have my Class A learners permit and I'm going to start my drivers ed tomarrow afternoon.
@aguyinpostfalls I've got my Class A License last week, but how do I get on the job now? I've tried applying but most of the company requires months of experience so where do I get months of experience driving semi, and what company should I try applying for that accept recient grad?
@sideslide23 if, by the time you get your CDL, you are a competent driver, there are several companies that will hire recent grads. Swift, Werner, Watkins Shepard... there are lots that will. Do your research, ask around, find the one that is best for you. Swift will have you out with a "mentor" for 6 weeks, Werner it's 6 or 8 weeks, Watkins Shepard, 10 day training and you're solo.
I have been driving an 18 wheeler for 21 years and its just insane the way people drive.slow down.Slow down please.Whats the hell is the hurry?I just think people have no idea of the damage that can be done with any vehicle in an accident.Expecially a big truck.Plus they are doing everything but driving.Texting, putting on makeup, shaving, reading etc.Alott of the truck drivers are crazy too.Expecially the ones that taligate..Rapid lane changes.Speed KILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God bless them who are in or out of steering wheelbut I just know one My father used to tell me if it is written to go no body can't stop it in Allah's hands no choice.
My dad's been a trucker for almost thirty years. He witnessed this one crash where a truck rearended a fuel tanker and it exploded. Both drivers were killed. May they rest in peace.
I have been a driver for 20 years and i think that the wold to traveling to fast and the respect for us is gone. I ran the lower 48. when the respect got bad i went to the exstreme north and i see there is less and less respect for drivers. So i have come off the road. To the older drivers do you remember breaking down and with in mins there would be our brothers ther to assit. now they call on the radio at 75mph as they go by. The schools are telling them not to leave there lane ummmm
I'm a truck driver. I am not Aquaman, I am not a hero, I am nothing special. I know the risks and had an idea of them before choosing this path for income. I have a "job", that I get paid to do. However , for those of you who like to make fun of, and annoy truck drivers, remember -they aren't superhuman, if you cause them to mess up because you're in a hurry to get to the gym, you better hope they care about other's more than you do. I see too many stupid risks taken by those who operate cars.
@shift808 I can't tell how many times near misses I have had over the years driving and its seams to be getting worse now. Hey were are you out of I'm in VA
@mobilechief I am out of Tennessee. And yes, it does seem to be getting worse. Stay safe out there, drivers. Watch your asses because noone else will.
@shift808 I knew the hardships and dangers I was facing when I started driving. I want to make a good living out of this. but to do this, I will do my best to drive safe, comply with DOT regulations, show courtesy to others on the road. I know how important it is to maintain your health, when you got to deal with hazards every day. And I despise people who joke and insult us and they are the motorists who have no regard for motor safety on the road.
@haynes1776 I hear ya, driver. It just scares me how oblivious some people are when they are dealing with these big bastards. If you're in a hurry to get lil Timmy to the soccer game, pay attention to what the hell you're doing. Get off the phone with the leader of the local gossip club, and you may see that loaded log truck screaming at you before he knocks your ass into the middle of next week. When it comes to situations like that, "fault" carries very little weight, due to the end result.
@haynes1776 Best of luck with Swift. I've been at it for way too many years now, and drive for a mining company -lowboy, and draggin' dump trailers -home every night, most weekends off. But, I've had my ass in front of dry vans, and covered wagons. It'll all pay the bills, just some of it's tougher than others. OTR isn't a job, it's a lifestyle. People need to understand that before pasing judgment. Anyways. best wishes, driver.
@shift808 they must be in a Damm hurry to get to a golf game, meeting, or whatever and dont take the time to show and courtesy or safety on the road. and when They cause an accident involving a tractor trailer, they have the nerve to blame the trucker. Wake up!! 18-wheelers cannot stop on a dime like a 4-wheeler! they got to shift down several gears and need a lot of road just to make a safe stop. And cutting off a truck: a trucker cannot stop on a dime too.
@shift808 my dad is a truck driver driving an fl10 volvo thru the streets of sydney Australia... i went to work a few times with him and some of the stupid things people do to save.5secods is crasy... everyone ALWAYS give way 2 trucks..... THEYRE BIGGER!!!... i have done a lot of hoghway driving in cars and il aways give right away!!!
@shift808 Im with You. I did not asked anybody's permission to be a trucker. I did this on my own free will. I wanted a better career. I knew It was not going to be easy, and my family did not approve of my decesion, but I did it, going thru my own personal hell to achieve my goal.
@shift808 I like your statement mate but look at the big picture there are still way more dangerou jobs out there not saying your job wouldnt have its risks..... im in a medium risk job myself working as a mechanic youd be surprised to see how many boys have died working under a car lol or substances. or losing limbs.
@tomkkkkk Sir. The big picture is simply; those who get out of bed in the morning take risks at that first step. Life in general is a risk. However, with trucking, even if you're mistake free at the time of an incident you're still involved. Too much rests on the shoulders of everyone else's behavior. Any precaution you take can be trumped by someone else's action. Where as -if the proper precautions are taken, a car will not fall on you. Not trying to compete, just stating a fact.
Cool Video..This Is Real Bad ..Not Good When you just can't avoid it.I now exactly what it takes to avoid this kind of problem .I just retired at the young age of 43 ..I'm now an internet marketer online making money every day ...Thanks to a risk free program that i found here on youtube ..I don't miss being out there on the long old highway ...
Pt 2 of comment: instead of slowing down some ass will pull up on the left side of the truck and not let him over. This is stupid. If your in a damn car. wait till after the onramp and then pass. makes sense you would think.......
I bust a gut at the stupid people who make comments on here. I dont drive truck, but my father did and many of my family do. It is about respect for others on the road. It does not matter what they drive. I drive the interstate system every day to and from work and I see many stupid 4 wheelers I also see many stupid 18 wheelers. The biggest issue I see alot is at on ramps. You see a truck signal to move to the inside because someone is on the ramp.
Granted , there are stupid, unsafe truck drivers on the road, but cars and REALLY STUPID 4 wheelers just take the cake....they need to drive down the road in a truck for awhile, then maybe they would change their tune
Nosocialistobama, youre a fucking moron. No way in hell are all accidents involving big trucks preventable, especially when four-wheelers like to see just how close they can be without getting their stupid asses smashed when they cut a big truck off. Sound familiar??? Also, you bash truckers, but say "restrict cars on highways"? Go fuck yourself, buddy.
If you never drove a rig, or sat in the jump seat on a long haul, then your opinion on trucking means SQUAT! Its a tough job, thank GOD, for those who do it!
Youtube Video "So In Love" from RDIGlobal HD Video Copyrighted and Produced by R&D International This movie is a tribute to all of the good truck drivers out there it is also a demonstration of the Transportation Industry utilizing multimedia in order to present their services in a dynamic manner reaching a larger and diversified segment of the job market.
Just to give you a clue of how little you know. On CNN a couple of years ago did a story how every year about 2200 kids are backed over most by their own family members, they have one couple on that backed over their son in a SUV said we didnt know it had that big a blind spot. If car drivers dont know their own cars, how can they know what a truck goes though.
In chatsworth California about a year ago, a Toyota was speeding, weaving in and out of cars when he lost control and slammed into a semi causing it to lose control and slid into a CHP and a motorist on the side of the road.)
You say those things about truckers, because your nothing but a car driver, you like some many others have no idea what it like to drive a truck. Which makes you ignorant.
have a little respect for the people that are the backbone of this country if it were up to me every truck in this country would shut down. you would have your wake up call then. your world would seize to exist.
Yea, I agree. Just shut all the over-the-road trucks down. Everything can be put on trains. Local trucks can pick up from there. Less trucks on the road - less accidents. They wouldn't tear up the roads and parking lots as much. Less crime. Better for the environment too. No DOT. I have driven an 18 wheeler. I was run off the road by another big rig. Don't assume so much. I can't stand people who assume they know me when they haven't even met me and don't know one stinkin' think about me.
i get cut off maybe 75 times a day by little 4 wheelers who refuse to do 55 in a 55 or 70 in a 70 i never see cars getting over for emergency personell if it were up to me cars would not even be alout to use major interstates or state routes
Now you try and change the subject, knowing that you have no argument, other than to say "truck drivers don't speed, and i speed and it pisses me off" if all car's were took off the road there would be less death's from road racing, drunk driving, crime, cops would cut down dramaticly on the time it takes to wait on the road for speeder's.
the freight couldent get to the train without big trucks the freight couldent get to the airplanes without big trucks every Class A driver needs to shut there trucks down for 1 day thats all it would take this country would fall and fall hard thats why jimmy hoffa is dead
listen son i am a proffesional at what i do. and there are alot out there who are the same way and kids like yourself who didnt want to live out here. so you got a 9 to 5 job home on weekends
so, after you hav had this piece of education you should be happy that these things were brought to your attention. 40% of car traffic since the 1960's have grown while onlle 6% of interstates have grown.
you have shown the extent of you intelligence. Trying to divert the conversation into an error on a computer screen a "typo". Son we are smarter than that, if the degree of this debate constists with you adverting to petting name calling, you have lost this argument, be a man and admit to your defeat.
well that is that exact kind of comment i expected out of you. let me tell you something according to the truck driving industry that accident you helped cause was your fault as much as the other driver you received a preventable for that but my geuss is you have never driven a truck. let me tell you something i made a 3200 dollar paycheck for one week last week how much did you make
As a truck driver I see people taking risks is cars and pick-ups, risks that can not only cost them their lives but my life. Please don't cut a big semi truck off in traffic, you couldn't imagine how mucj=h we weigh. Merge correctly.
In my opinion it is safer to be a trucker than everyones else. We truckers drive a big vehicle, we are more disciplined, we are more experienced, we went to school to learn how to drive properly, and we are taught by other truckers who have many miles of accident free driving. Regular drivers have too many bad habits that endanger themselves everday.
ya know I about cried! this vid is so real. I have seen even worse! Ive been on the road, its know cake walk. BUT!!! this is what keeps us all sane! If everydriver reminds themselfs how dangerous our job is, then the worlds in a better place!!! safety is our main goal! Forget about the 10 percent!!! drive safe!!!!
Don't drive a truck! There's better things to do with your life! Truck driving is NOT a good profession! Don't get conned with ads that say you'll make hundreds of dollars every week! I could list a hundred reasons why to stay away from driving an 18-wheeler!
i could list a hundred reasons why people shouldnt be inbred fagot pieces of monkey shit like you. your probably just jealous that you couldnt hack it in truck driving school, or couldnt handle the life of driving a truck so now your living the dream as a mcdonalds employee
now them polls were taking the percentile of new drivers drving there little 4-wheelers. having said that, haven proven you have no argument. what went on your dac for that accident? you should have let off! you are part off fault that was a preventable accident! you had an out and didnt take it! i ask again. what happen with your dac report after that incident of road rage?
Dude. Were you there? NO! So you cannot assume that the accident was MY fault and that I was able to move out of the way before the stupid truck driver broadsided me and ran me off the road...no, nothing went on my DAC, and the other driver was ticketed. I was not cited at all....as if that's any of your business, Mr. Busybody!....and there you go again with your spelling. LoL genius. I think your kids are calling. They need you.
yet again another diversion, typical of someone who has lost an argument! good try though, you do not even have a debated topic you can discuss on this issue, so because of that reason you now try to talk about the education in this country the conversation is about truck driving please stick to that. thank you.
i will tell you what needs to happen. cars need to be restricted on interstates and freeway's they should not be aloud on them. there is no reason why they are on them to begin with
i didnt need to be there you said he cliped you. why didnt you let off and be the safe driver? you didnt you were noty paying attention. trucks are only involved in 12 % of this nations accidents. thank you have lost this argument do not comment to me again. have a good day. and get a job.
Are you omniscient? LoL I didn't think so! You know what? You're VERY presumptuous and no matter what I say, it won't make any difference. I was far ahead enough of that other truck. There was nowhere for me to go on that two lane highway! He just didn't look B4 changing lanes. That's what it comes down to. I'm not here to argue. I can't stand people who pick fights. You're not too bright; that's why you have to try and act like you know something when actually you don't know jack.
There was an accident, where a car driver crossed over into on coming traffic on a bridge, a trucker coming the other way tried to avoid a head on, lost control and went off the bridge and died. Had he not tried to avoid, there would have been a head on and car driver would of died. He is being called a hero he gave his life to save someone else.
I got run off the road by an 18-wheeler in Tyler, Texas. He clipped the front of my vehicle when changing lanes. I almost hit a cop car sitting on the side of the road who was helping another person who ran off the road. If that truck had hit me just a couple seconds sooner, I would have hit that cop car, and pushed it right into the men on the side of that freeway and killed both of them.
I WAS in the same lane as the other truck. He really pissed me off though. Trucks are so freekin' stupid! They think it's OKAY to pull in front of someone else who is going faster, and make them slam on their breaks just because they want to move over in front you, even though it's not safe! They do it to me ALL the time!!! Dumb truck drivers! As soon as I passed the accident, I moved over. But I guess he assumed nobody was there and didn't look before changing lanes.
what a fucking idiot you are. you have no idea what us "PROFESSIONAL" drivers go thru on a daily basis. we get cut off constantly by dumbasses like you and you all have the fucking nerve to flip us off. some son of a bitch clammed up after he cut me off and i caught him at a red light. i guess he wasnt so fucking tough anymore when he seen me outside his window. you all think your fucking tough shit in your suvs but when the truck driver is standing right in front of you, you PUSS out.
People like this don't belong on the road. They need anger management classes before given a license to drive an 18-wheeler that weighs up to 80,000 pounds.
....probably did something really dumb to deserve being flipped off, and can't handle it, so he freaks out like a little weenie and go scares the old man like a real man would do.
bottem line is, you couldenty drive one of these trucks if your life depended on it. cars cut us off at any and all expense, to reference of your previous comment. we have a schedule to keep we have to make sure your family is tooken care of we have DOT state federal and company government plus the ignorance of the commen person that does not make a living on the road to deal with. i make 83 grand a year to put up with all this but see my kids once a month.
And you say *I'M* ignorant. I'm sorry, but these aren't typos. They are just lack of education, poor grammar, and bad spelling...and something to read for good laughs. I would say something else, but I don't want to get rude and hurt your feelings.
you are mad because companies for insurance and fuel reasons have cut down our engines bogged use down to 62 mph we cant go now faster and since you more than likely run 85 in a 65 that upsets you
what do you think would happen to this country if all us drivers shut our trucxks down? your own childeren wouldent even have toilet paper to whipe there little asses you wouldent have heat in your hose or clothes to wear food to eat. think about how long it would take for consumers to exhaust the remaining oil, gas. trains cant go in residential areas they do not go to the stores.
LoL. I don't have kids, and I'm darn glad I don't! LoL and you can't spell wipe or wouldn't! Truck drivers!!! LoL
Your kids need you more than material things. That's child neglect sir. It's wrong to put money and a job before your family. Truck driving is not a good job for people with families. You have one chance to be with them. When they are old enough to move out on their own, it's over for you. You lost your chance. Can't go back and undo all the things you should have done.
i have been driving for 14 years and have i have never had a speeing ticket in my life or even a fender bender not preventables or non preventables at that perferct DAC only trouble i see are the 4 wheelers on the road we drive 1000 miles compared to your 5 miles
Yea & I bet you're the kind of guy who has nothing to do but sit on his butt &flash his lights off and on all night long at every truck that drives by him. And I bet you're the type of guy who pulls out in front of other trucks that are going faster and forces them to slam on their brakes and slow down cuz you don't have the common sense to realize that it's wrong and unsafe to pull in front of vehicles that are moving faster - most trucks drivers do these things &that's what makes them so dumb!
88.34 percante of accidents in the country fatal and non fatal are between cars look it up! also the majority of drivers out here are family men son. you say every truck driver is bad? is every cop bad? or ever construction worker?
people like you are completely ignorant i wish just every tanker shut down give you a fast wake up call. matter fact we dictate this whole government if truck drivers pulled together.
Drove for the same company for 14 years received a 1 million mile safe driving award, had to leave trucking due to an illness (not job related). After 4 years off the road i am just now starting to miss the road.!!!!The public really doesn't understand what is actually required of the truck driver to get there freight from point to point!! To my brothers of the road that may have lost there lives in those accidents RIP we shall meet again!!!
i've been driving for almost 1 million miles, and the only accident i've had is some stupid kids who tried the "fast and furious" move .. i guess they have seen too many movie....
awesome video! shows people how we really have it made out there., lol To me its just another day at the office. Believe you me, after 10 years of accident free driving, I have seen my share

Truck driving is really something important. In 2004 I made a couple of interviews and got some nice stories at OBT Truck Stop in FL. These stories are at Yahoo Contributor Network. Their names are: On the Road for America: Sunshine and Night Walker; On the Road for America: 9/11 Story; Life on the Road for America.

edwin92404 6 months ago

RayAir1 10 months ago
@RayAir1
everything you're wearing on your back and everything you sit your sorry ass on came on a truck. you fuckin 4 wheelers do cause a lot of accidents, of course there are times when the driver of the truck is at fault, but most of the time its motherfuckers like you.GIVE US OUR FUCKIN RESPECT, BITCH. we keep America movin
ufunkybastard 10 months ago
@ufunkybastard
Of all the accidents involving big rigs, most of the time it is the big rigs fault. Forget those shit statistics put out by the trucking industry blaming cars. And of course overall there will be more "4-wheeler" crashes because 98% of the traffic on the road are cars!
RayAir1 10 months ago
i'm an ex-truck driver and my father still drives....4-wheelers are stupid and ignorant....and they are the ones that bitch and complain about truck drivers....if they think they can do better then i'd LOVE to see them drive a tractor trailer.....most of them would be afraid to get out of thier first gear!!!

Yeah, some truck drivers are assholes but most are good folks who do a very dangerous job that would make many people shit their pants yet people treat us like crap.

yoyomann86 1 year ago
I have seen alot of stupid things in my time on the road. and its a shame that everytime it involves a truck the sterotype is always hmmm well guess the truck driver fell asleep, or was high on drugs, or some other stupid remark...fact is...the percentage shows that most accidents are caused by the car not the truck. be smart when your out on the road. one thing I have seen over and over and can never figure out why...when you miss your exit ramp WHY slam on your breaks when you have a 80k lb
yoyomann86 1 year ago
@yoyomann86 you cant say cars cause the most wrecks and you cant say its the truckers either its human error weather its a truckers fault or a 4 wheelers fault it all stems from someone being considerate to one another. i have seen truckers do stupid crap and vice versa. My thanks to all the hard working truckers out there.

LadyNirakina 1 year ago

Siple education and common sense should show you the dangers of driving recklessly
haynes1776 1 year ago
@ABellaRoseMe But do these stupid, unsafe motorists listen? No!! They have to learn the hard way and that will cost them their life or someone's else. I would like to see that the DOT of all states bring out programs to teach new drivers, including young drivers, on the dangers of cutting off 18-wheelers and how iportant it is to practice safe driving. And I sure as hell dont recomend watching Fast and furious movies!
haynes1776 1 year ago
@ABellaRoseMe As a trucker Ive convinced myself that I want and will do the right thing by driving safe and being couteous to other motorists. if Dumb motorists don't appreciate it, "so be it." Be couterous anyway. Better to be the better person/driver.
haynes1776 1 year ago
@ABellaRoseMe And, on a personal note: We truckers are human beings. We dont get to see our freinds and family as often as you 4-wheelers. Its not a 9 to 5 job: this job is 7 days a week, 24hrs a day. Average time out on the road- 3-4 weeks, maybe more. Not only we are keeping the economy of our country rolling, we are makin a living for ourselves and our families. But i will not drive recklessly and kill another human being to do it. I wont.
haynes1776 1 year ago

I've been trucking since 1987, I've seen a little bit. I know for one thing there are alot more trucks out here now, which means there are alot more bad truck drivers on the road now (same goes for cars), but it really pisses me off when some so called professional driver about, sideswipes, tries to take the front end off my truck , and drives like a 18year old on steriods...Before we can get back any respect from Joe public, we have to gain respect from the trucking industry. BE SAFE, V/R
wufpac1983 1 year ago
I have seen some horrible accidents out there, though, most have been the fault of four-wheelers. All I can say to truckers is cover your ass and make sure you are in the right; logbook is most incriminating evidence you have.

I grew up driving a truck and had my CDL for almost 14 years and the Driving schools need to do more training before someone is sent out on the road.. We all take a big risk from just plain dumb drivers..Ty Sidealide 23.. I have not heard the 300/29/1 In years.. As drivers we spend more time on the road then most so more chances of accidents to happen

if your a truck driver or planning to become one, please remmember the 300/29/1 because 300 unsafe behavior that result 29 injury accident and 1 Death, and remember to maintain a 5 second distance from the vehicle infront of you.
sideslide23 1 year ago
@sideslide23 It's not 5 seconds... it's 1 second for every 10 feet of vehicle length plus 1 second if over 40 mph. A 60 foot long truck at 45 mph = 7 seconds.

@aguyinpostfalls sorry I did most of my driving study with Greyhound and they say 5 second following distant I get it, since the motorcoach is 40 foot and the truck is 60 ft long I get you now. any way I have my Class A learners permit and I'm going to start my drivers ed tomarrow afternoon.

@sideslide23 if, by the time you get your CDL, you are a competent driver, there are several companies that will hire recent grads. Swift, Werner, Watkins Shepard... there are lots that will.

And cutting off a truck: a trucker cannot stop on a dime too.

tomkkkkk 1 year ago
@tomkkkkk Sir. The big picture is simply; those who get out of bed in the morning take risks at that first step. Life in general is a risk. However, with trucking, even if you're mistake free at the time of an incident you're still involved. Too much rests on the shoulders of everyone else's behavior. Any precaution you take can be trumped by someone else's action. Where as -if the proper precautions are taken, a car will not fall on you. Not trying to compete, just stating a fact.

Which makes you ignorant.
wolf9walker 2 years ago
LoL! WHO is ignorant? I think you are for assuming that I've never driven a truck!!!

have a little respect for the people that are the backbone of this country if it were up to me every truck in this country would shut down. you would have your wake up call then. your world would seize to exist.
nosocialistobama 2 years ago
Yea, I agree. Just shut all the over-the-road trucks down. Everything can be put on trains. Local trucks can pick up from there. Less trucks on the road - less accidents. They wouldn't tear up the roads and parking lots as much. Less crime. Better for the environment too. No DOT. I have driven an 18 wheeler. I was run off the road by another big rig. Don't assume so much. I can't stand people who assume they know me when they haven't even met me and don't know one stinkin' think about me.
FireThunderTV 2 years ago
i get cut off maybe 75 times a day by little 4 wheelers who refuse to do 55 in a 55 or 70 in a 70 i never see cars getting over for emergency personell if it were up to me cars would not even be alout to use major interstates or state routes
nosocialistobama 2 years ago
Now you try and change the subject, knowing that you have no argument, other than to say "truck drivers don't speed, and i speed and it pisses me off" if all car's were took off the road there would be less death's from road racing, drunk driving, crime, cops would cut down dramaticly on the time it takes to wait on the road for speeder's.

so, after you hav had this piece of education you should be happy that these things were brought to your attention. 40% of car traffic since the 1960's have grown while onlle 6% of interstates have grown.

you have shown the extent of you intelligence. Trying to divert the conversation into an error on a computer screen a "typo". well that is that exact kind of comment i expected out of you. let me tell you something according to the truck driving industry that accident you helped cause was your fault as much as the other driver you received a preventable for that but my geuss is you have never driven a truck. let me tell you something i made a 3200 dollar paycheck for one week last week how much did you make
nosocialistobama 2 years ago

Don't drive a truck! There's better things to do with your life! Truck driving is NOT a good profession! Don't get conned with ads that say you'll make hundreds of dollars every week! I could list a hundred reasons why to stay away from driving an 18-wheeler!
FireThunderTV 2 years ago
i could list a hundred reasons why people shouldnt be inbred fagot pieces of monkey shit like you. your probably just jealous that you couldnt hack it in truck driving school, or couldnt handle the life of driving a truck so now your living the dream as a mcdonalds employee
TwiztdTruckr25 2 years ago
now them polls were taking the percentile of new drivers drving there little 4-wheelers. having said that, haven proven you have no argument. what went on your dac for that accident? you should have let off! you are part off fault that was a preventable accident! you had an out and didnt take it! i ask again. what happen with your dac report after that incident of road rage?
nosocialistobama 2 years ago
FireThunderTV 2 years ago
yet again another diversion, typical of someone who has lost an argument! good try though, you do not even have a debated topic you can discuss on this issue, so because of that reason you now try to talk about the education in this country the conversation is about truck driving please stick to that. thank you.
nosocialistobama 2 years ago
i will tell you what needs to happen. cars need to be restricted on interstates and freeway's they should not be aloud on them. there is no reason why they are on them to begin with

He is being called a hero he gave his life to save someone else.
wolf9walker 2 years ago
I got run off the road by an 18-wheeler in Tyler, Texas. He clipped the front of my vehicle when changing lanes. I almost hit a cop car sitting on the side of the road who was helping another person who ran off the road. If that truck had hit me just a couple seconds sooner, I would have hit that cop car, and pushed it right into the men on the side of that freeway and killed both of them.
FireThunderTV 2 years ago
you should have been in the same lane as the truck, im sure he was in the lane away from the cop for their safety
Shame3232 2 years ago
I WAS in the same lane as the other truck. He really pissed me off though. Trucks are so freekin' stupid! They think it's OKAY to pull in front of someone else who is going faster, and make them slam on their breaks just because they want to move over in front you, even though it's not safe! They do it to me ALL the time!!! Dumb truck drivers! As soon as I passed the accident, I moved over. But I guess he assumed nobody was there and didn't look before changing lanes.
FireThunderTV 2 years ago
what a fucking idiot you are. you have no idea what us "PROFESSIONAL" drivers go thru on a daily basis. we get cut off constantly by dumbasses like you and you all have the fucking nerve to flip us off. some son of a bitch clammed up after he cut me off and i caught him at a red light. i guess he wasnt so fucking tough anymore when he seen me outside his window. you all think your fucking tough shit in your suvs but when the truck driver is standing right in front of you, you PUSS out.

People like this don't belong on the road. They need anger management classes before given a license to drive an 18-wheeler that weighs up to 80,000 pounds.
....probably did something really dumb to deserve being flipped off, and can't handle it, so he freaks out like a little weenie and go scares the old man like a real man would do.

bottem line is, you couldenty drive one of these trucks if your life depended on it. cars cut us off at any and all expense, to reference of your previous comment. we have a schedule to keep we have to make sure your family is tooken care of we have DOT state federal and company government plus the ignorance of the commen person that does not make a living on the road to deal with. i make 83 grand a year to put up with all this but see my kids once a month.

what do you think would happen to this country if all us drivers shut our trucxks down? your own childeren wouldent even have toilet paper to whipe there little asses you wouldent have heat in your hose or clothes to wear food to eat. think about how long it would take for consumers to exhaust the remaining oil, gas. trains cant go in residential areas they do not go to the stores.

Can't go back and undo all the things you should have done.

nosocialistobama 2 years ago
Yea & I bet you're the kind of guy who has nothing to do but sit on his butt &flash his lights off and on all night long at every truck that drives by him. And I bet you're the type of guy who pulls out in front of other trucks that are going faster and forces them to slam on their brakes and slow down cuz you don't have the common sense to realize that it's wrong and unsafe to pull in front of vehicles that are moving faster - most trucks drivers do these things &that's what makes them so dumb!
