I saw this happen once it was a juvenile redtail and he didnt have a clue what he was messing with. The finch's nest he raided retaliated with one of the finches landing on the hawk's head and pecking the fuck out of his eye. Hawk started screaming bloody murder and crashed all over the place.
Man 3 weeks ago my gamefowl fought with one of this hawks and he beat him with his natural spurs.This happen I believe because my gamefowl has gray feathers like the doves.
