WH Press Secretary seems like such a useless job if you ask me. It's just an excuse for the pres. hire one more paid gov't employee who has to kiss his ass and tow the party line at all times in front of the media. I mean, is the president REALLY so busy he can't meet with the press for say, an hour, at the most, to take questions?? The pres.'s schedule is 9-5 right? Surely he has the time to do this rather than hiring a freakin press sec.
Of course, being a libertarian, I think the only Cabinet agencies that should exist are Treasury, State, Justice, and Defense. HHS is absurd, as public health is and never has been necessary. The people can do fine on their own with the necessary health information. HUD is a joke, which crowds out private investment for low-cost housing and REAL solutions to the problem. There's a reason the ghetto is referred to as "the projects."
You know, let states handle "national" parks in their respective borders. It's silly to let the feds try to handle all of them from 100s of miles away from the Rockies or West. Get rid of Bureau of Labor and put Bureau of Labor Statistics meshed in with council of econ. advisers just for economic data-collecting purposes and acting on that data with good policy.
Let states handle Transportation and give them the tools they need to fund their own highways and be self-sufficient.
Screw you, Gibbs. We don't need Washington for new jobs or job creation. The private sector can do that fine if you give them the environment necessary. It's just slowing down a little right now, as expected. Booms and busts, people. Every economy has this kind of behavior. You can't expect to have unlimited growth. The Clinton boom was gonna end sooner or later, along with the Reagan boom. And the Bush boom, while shorter than the others, was still much better than the naysayers claim.
T his Gibbs guy kind of irritates me. He just seems like one big joke. Hell, most of the Obama Cabinet, with inexperienced politician after inexperienced politician afterinexperienced politician being nominated to top posts they probably are just not qualified for. Having served on a committee and being an elected official for some number of years does not an expert make. LOTS of Congressmen are on committees. Does that make each one of them an expert? Seriously!
I'm not fond of this spokesperson's style. Mainly wanted to comment that the video quality of your clips is exceptional, very clear and synched.
