By chance, what's the author of this series doing right now? If he's doing something, probably it's not drawing a comics where Mai is the main character- she was for him the hardest character to draw. But if there should be spin-offs of Yugioh, Mai was ideal to be a protagonist. Not only for having gutts, I remember her as one of the iconic characters from the few episodes I watched when this was on TV.

That's right, and I thought about a way to make her more beautiful: I'm writing a comics about her, and will post it as a video response for this clip. She's really a woman with gutts, not a girly girl, has a reasonable age to wander and engage championships (25 I think), and could defeat Kaiba with ease...or Marik, the deity words were a cheat. The other thing I like on her is that her curves are not as exagerated as anime girls use to be. The Mai i drew was in European Style.
