felt the same way when Indianapoplis Colts RCA DOME went down Yr 2008. I attended thier Last game ever played at the dome. it was a Playoff Game Vs The Sandiego Chargers.(we Lost) Most of the Time, the fans will leave at the end Of the game, But this time, Many took an Hour to leave. you can see it in thier eyes, They didnt want to leave cause they Knew it was thier last. it was sooo sad to watch. But we all have fond memories but have a new Home with the Lucas Oil Stadium! ~JON
its not the same, the dome was louder and the beer was cheaper and so were the tickets, the luke is nice but the dome was what really gave us a great homefield advantage and although the rest of our fans didnt appreciate it other fans around the country do, thats why the metrodome and the carrier dome still exist with no plans for a new stadium in sight, thank you rca dome, i cant speak for any1 else but ill always miss you
Wow Colts fans, you gotta respect a place that works like one of those snow globes you buy for your front yard at Christmas. Obviously they just couldn't afford to keep that place inflated as well as Peyton's retard bubble helmet any longer. I guess the economy IS that bad. If you ever went to a game there, you had to shake your head and think, "Irsay moved his team here for this?". No character, small as hell, and yeah...love the entire upper deck of bleachers. It was laughable.
@ytownteddy ur obviously a bitter ravens or paties fan so heres this: tha building we moved into u dont see the opposing qbs clinching their helmets for signals or opposing coaches calling for a noisegate its like all the other state of the art stadiums just a big quiet box to make the owners more money thanks for nothing aholes!!!
@boltcutter5150 ur wrong, im a bitter colts fan cuz i know the rca dome was a way better advantage and we we gave it away for a little more money, sad way of life if u ask me
Seems would be nice to drop oneself from the helicopter and fall directly into that deflated roof, would absorbe the impact and you would have a lot of fun! :D
nice man. We didnt even make it out of districts, the contest before districts we had plenty to go to regionals, but our score dropped and we didnt make it.
I know some people said it was generic but for Colts fans or any kid growing up playing football in Indiana for the past 25 year it was a catherderal! As the site of the state chanpionships for years, everyone in HS football knew "the dome" was State.
It was for us, I mean they tore down market square and that had historical significance as holding elvis's last concert ever, Lucus oil is a prettyer stadium but the colts have not won in there yet its cursed.
Why dont they just build the convention center into the dome it is connected already is it not? at least the rca dome was not some concreat donut like they used to have in the sixtys.
25 years. Might be a record for the shortest lifespan of any sporting venue that wasn't burned down.
