  • @crim4527 it'll sound like a pissed off lawn tractor.

  • what if i just take the muffler off. Then put a straight pipe.it sound like a 1100 with the muffler off

  • what grade wou you give the 2009 lifan lf-iii, first time rider, looking for a good start bike

  • dose it add power??? what is the reson for the replace ment

  • HABLAS MUCHO Y HACES POCO GORDO

  • will the conical air filter let in a ting amount of moisture in rain???

  • Ive had mine for 5 months know the only electrical thing that works is the high beam. ive read in some forums that this happens pretty often . does anyone know how to fix this.dealer won't help/bought it 2nd hand. the previous owner also moved the the needle up one notch(some commom mod) and the bike will only idle at 1800rpms. i guess idlying issuse are common also ?

  • The fitment of this type of filter will leave your carb in danger of water contamination, either in the rain, or going through water splashes or even washing the bike. Not good news.

If you don't mind that or never get the carb area wet, then you should increase the main jet size by 10% to realise any advantage and prevent an over-lean condition.

Warning: These filters don't work right on CV-type carbs. They NEED the airbox to work properly. Only use on normal slide carbs.

  • dont you need to rejet the carb due to the new air filter. If you dont you run too lean and burn the valves.

  • when you buy the filter it comes with a new jet goes from a 96 to a 115

  • Were to you get the mod parts from?

  • Can anyone direct me, as if these bikes are good commuter bikes(not sports racing or anything) I go to work 20 miles to and 20 back each day and I would much rather drive a bike than my car.

  • don;t buy it...it's a piece of junk..if you buy it,you are training yourself to be a mechanic...

  • I'm so close to buying one of these bikes and I live near Chicago IL. I found one online for $1,250 and I don't know why these are cheaper than the 125cc ones but would you guys recommend these? I like your video how you explain everything and I have been a mechanic for 6 years. Never road a bike though on the street.s

  • I am debating on buying a Lifan lf200-iii or the new lf200-B. I was wondering if these modes(air box and carb jet)were possible on the new lf200-B. Also, if you have any information on the pros and cons between the two bikes. You seem to know alot about Lifan bikes so any help would be great. Plus great videos, nice step by step instructions. Thanks again

  • Actually, I haven't seen the B model yet. I imagine the airbox removal and replacment with a breather as well as the jet will work just fine, however, as most bikes are the same in this regard.

I don't know anything else about the B's however.

  • Thanks for the info. Anyway you should look at the new lf200-B; alot of improvements like disk brakes all around and a counter balanced engine to eliminate vibrations at high speeds.

  • If I referred to the location as the real names instead of here, most of the viewers might not know what I mean. The real names don't even make sense in english. For example, if I referred to the "vertical shaft" you would not know what I was talking about. The manuals are complete junk, so I refer to the location of the component instead. It is video after all, so pointing is just as effective.

    Cheers,

    Bill

  • Sorry to boder you,but i need one more opinion before i do mods. Will these mods(new air filter, bigger jet)do any harm to my engine (logical, new air filter, better air flow needs more fuel = higer explosion in chamber = higer temperature ?).I know, these are chinese motors,i cant expect any durability (or i can? :) ),but i dont want to blow up engine so quick :).

I sow yor videos over lifan-motocom/video, they are great Thank you for infos

    Best regards from Croatia

    Ivan

    (sorry for bad english)

  • No, they actually make your bike more efficient and cooler. (Make sure if you modify your exhaust or intake that you also do the rejet of the carb to prevent damage.) Just doing either without the rejetting will cause the engine temp to go up, which you do not want.

If you take care of the bike, break it in correctly and maintain it every 600-1000 miles, you should expect a very long life out of it. There are some bikes out there that have over 25,000 miles (40,000km) on them.

    Bill

  • Once a year should be fine. With the conical filter, you just clean it, but with the Mr. Gasket, you should replace it.

  • Thanks

And one more question, how often do i need to clean conical filter (on normal street driving around the city)?

    Thanks

    Ivan

  • Yes. The conical filter or mr. gasket filter will really open up the intake of the bike. You will also want to make sure you rejet the carb as well, which will richen it back to normal levels.

    Bill

  • Is it worth to upgrade to cone air filter ???

I own a Zongshen 200cc supermoto bike, can i expect any performance with this filter ???

  • I need you walking me through everything! 5*
