At 0:15 the text says "Saigon was captured by the armed force of North Vietnam". It's true but if you look at the picture of T 54 tanks entering the president palace you'll see they carry the red-blue flag, which was the flag of Viet Cong, who were supposed to be South Vietnamese. Thus Viet Cong was just an org. created by NVN and used as a cover to attack SVN without being seen as violating Geneva Accord

The side that had to defend itself from the communist terrorists. Watch film "Frontline" w/ footages by Neil Davis. You'll see the crimes committed by the VCs rather than just words. Hue Massacre, Dak Son massacre were atrocities in VN - but everyone also seems to forget that the VCs also invaded Cambodia. U will see what they did there in Frontline.

it is funny how all the pictures are all mainly about americans, and not many south vietnamese solider, this was mainly there war, and to say that fall of saigon, the U.S. didn't not fight in the last 3 years of the war. i am pretty insulted by that

@bbq4000 basically i think the reason for all the american soldiers pictures is that the american public at the time and probably now still believe that American's shouldn't have been involved with the vietnam war. So this video is more like a tribute to them for the tribulations they had to face for a war the american public did not support. i understand the south vietnamese soldiers were a major part though but we feel sorry for the americans not the South Vietnamese

Anyone who has been to war knows that war is not a good thing. It is always brought about by rich men and their politics and it always fought out by poor men or average men (middle class) with their bodies and blood. I am a veteran of the Iraq War. The fall of Saigon started a biggest exodus of Vietnamese people in their 4000 year history. More than 2 millions fled their country by boat. foot. The whole world now celebrates the fall of Berlin Wall. Only Vietnamese communists celebrate the fall of Saigon while several South Vietnamese feel bitter but they don't have the right to express.
