I enjoy anti hunters take on the proper way to live ones life. I have twice the compassion for animals as I do for humans. Being a vegetarian does not make one the authority on the morality of life and death. Respect for animals who give their life is what is important as a hunter. I really dont like seeing videaos like this online. Its for hunting i know. Society doesnt see it as animal abuse. But i dont agree with that. Killing animals for fun or recreation isnt right. If your hunting for the meat and really do need the food then thats another story. but killing just for fun isnt right at all. Once you hunt an animal, you eat all the meat but instead of just letting the hide/fur/skin waste away, the video is showing you how to save the hide in order to commemorate the hunt and honor the animal. You dont shoot the animal just to discard the meat and keep the hide. The meat is the reason the animal is hunted, the trophy is secondary. It is much better to preserve the hide and antlers then to just let them rot out in the bush.

Whenever I kill an animal there is always a moment of remorse and respect for life. I hunt for meat because I am poor, and it saves me money. I think all kids should hunt. It teaches a one to respect life. If a young boy or girl realize that when you shoot something it dies they might not be so eager to take a gun to school and start firing. Hunting brings the reality of death up close. It is a valuble thing to respect life. Hunting helps that respect for life, become a reality.

teaching kids to hunt makes us hate life really, this is coming from a preeteen ill be a teen in a few months but if i ever was traind to hunt i would feel horrible inside. i could never kill a innconent animal even if it wasnt innocent, even if it was lunging at me to kill me i couldint hurt it. i grew up with 1 dog and 5 birds, we then got another dog but he ran away the birds died and our loved dog died and i cry just saying his name. i now have 4 sweet dogs, a hedgehog, and a bunny.

Hunting in and of itself is only as cruel as the hunter makes it. Those that shoot to kill (and for the most part kill instantly) try to avoid cruelty. That being said, there are really creepy people out there that don't particularily care how long it takes for the animal to die - those people are cruel, and should probably never have been allowed to hunt in the first place.

Historically, Native American's roamed the very hills, river bottoms, mountains, valleys, etc for all walks of game to nourish their villages, morever many of these early hunters kept claws, horns, and feathers as symbols of their connection with the animal, a symbol of respect.. You guys are ignorant; just plain do not know. This moose was harvested to EAT; the skinning and mounting of it is a reminder trophy of the experience; otherwise it would go to waste. A moose can feed a family for a year, I know I get one just about every year and it's sooo much healthier than beef, pork or chicken. It tastes good and there really is no need to get so excited about lifestyles you know nothing about. You stay near your Starbucks and Kroegers, we'll take the woods and God.

Hunting is a very effective part of wildlife management and maintains balance in the wild and in farm/rural areas that have game populations.
