  • Thank you for posting this. Sincerely, thank you very very much.

  • Wow!!

  • Goodness, the gentry did have their problems. I think I enjoyed "Little Dorrit" and "Bleak House" just a bit more, but "Martin Chuzzlewit" is also a fine example of Dickens work.

Thank you very much for the upload.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this.

Why its never been repeated or released on DVD I dont know.

  • Tom Pinch closed with Dickens' " . . . as if I were a character in a book", and I looked up expecting to see Charles Dickens himself, as if I'd been caught believing in the persons and lives of his novel. Now the sad reckoning of his literary glory and my ordinary life.

Ordinary and glorious, not one without the other after "Martin Chuzzlewit". I especially value the comments of you, total strangers. Thank you.

    Now, I'm off: " . . . I don't grieve for the impossible." Ah, Dickens.

  • Mesmerising from start to finish. Thx.

  • it was very well done. I liked the ending and the movie very much. Tom was my favorite character :)

  • this was an absolute feast. up till now i thought domby and son was the jewel in the bbc's crown, but this was something else. so much talent but elizabeth spriggs as mrs gamp was a masterclass in dickens' characterisation. wonderful stuff. thank you very much for posting this. i am so grateful.
