As of now i use a ST-2 Antenna for that scanner (i also have a 396XT)

As well i use a Diamond X30 2m/70cm but its hooked up to my Icom 208H transceiver.

@g4tech Thanks for the info, i looked up both antennas and i was wondering does the st-2 antenna work good on vhf, uhf, and 800 Mhz?

@jvfd2188 Not the best with P25 but works great with 800mhz, VHF and UHF. Also on good nights i can get weather radio signals from State college PA.

I plan to upgrade it to a better all band one that can handle P25 better.
