in the level to the rig, walk into the turn in the stairs at the very beginning of the level, until you fall, then walk backwards until you are over the ocean.

In one of the farther levels(American:To the Rig) its alot easier to go into the void(in fact, you just walk through a door.) Right after you clear the stairs in the main building, you go back to the hall where you saw an enemy running. Do a little twirl in there and head back to the door to the stairs. It should show the void and you can walk into it.
