  • Just was watching tv and heard spinabifida and didn't know what it is so I looked it up.. I'm 15 and I'm surprised I've never heard of it. It breaks my heart to watch this but how's he doing now?

  • @Superbran16 He's doing really well. I need to post some new videos. He walks with one forearm crutch now. Spina Bifida occurs 3 weeks after conception before you even take a pregnancy test. Folic acid greatly reduces the risk but if you wait until you find out you're pregnany, it's too late. Please spread the word to women that they need to be taking folic acid every day during their child bearing years or at least, as soon as they start trying to start a family. :) Thanks.

  • Awww, Noah is adorable! Especially in his baba chair, so cute. You're a great mother, you motivate Noah so much and he's a very happy kid. All the best to your family.

  • @dshopperz001 Thank you!!

  • Wow! How is he now? My son, also a Noah has spina bifida L5S1. He is 14 years old now. He started walking at 3.5 years. Watching this reminds me so much of the way he was at that early age. The big smile and good nature, love it! Nice work posting this. As he gets into school years stand your ground because people will meet you with all the nevers and can'ts and so on. You know best what he needs, so do not back down ever! I wish you both the best!

  • @fairytrixy

Thanks for the advice! We have met both at school - those who think he can't and those who expect him to be able to do things he just can't do (like potty train). Of course there are also people who are encouraging and wonderful and supportive. Our Noah is doing really well. He's a very happy kid, thankfully. Thanks again.
