How do you do the workout routines? I mean, do you like do all of the workouts in a circuit or do you guys do a certain workout, rest, then do it again. Im not sure if you'll understand this but Im realllllllyyy curious. So that I could do the same.
How can I get faster speed is what im missing. alot of people told me if i work on footwork and speed i wuld be pro type bball player but i dont know how to work on speed. i want crazy speed like a john wall or rose i know it will be difficult but im willing to put the time in to work on it i just want to know how
@miamiheatown2009 While everyone can get faster, not everyone can have the speed of Lawson, Rose, and Wall... those guys are special. For workouts to improve speed, agility and explosiveness.... check out Shop dot Stronger Team dot com!
hi, coach, it is the basic pull-up model(two hands grip a bar with palm facing off /away your face),he could do 50 pcs basic push ups one times, but he cannot make one basic push up, i think probably his body doesnot develop balancing..., which or where muscle should improve more....,
my son 7th grader kid cannot do one pullup and always be in disadvantage position of body contacting/touching or'fighting" in the physical basketball game how he should start his practise, could you recommond one video from your these 60 videos?
@liudan11 make sure he uses his hands to pull himself up some kids use do it wrong by using there whole body also have him hang on the bar foor 2 mins he will improve
@StrongerTeamDotCom i read in previous comments about you doing low level/volume plyos during the guys. I just wanted to know where are they in the video?
@ballsislife I try to have as many players working, and has few players resting, at all times! The key is plotting out the workout in advanced so everything is structured... and flows!
@duke2be That is not true at all... it doesn't matter when you get shot ups (before, right after, or later in the day)... as long as you get them up! Strength training does not have any negative effect on shooting!
Do those kids workout every morning? I read they work on strength twice a week ... do you have extra workouts for plyometrics in additon to those workouts? How often would you recommend doing plyometrics So do you work on some aspect of conditioning every morning?
@VaterMutombp This video was taken this past spring. We only met in the morning twice a week... for strength training and some low level / low volume plyos. We then met in the afternoon (twice a week) for conditioning (reaction / agility drills). We will increase the frequency to 3 times per week (for both strength and conditioning) once the pre-season starts.
@casewnuts Great question! With the early morning workouts, I recommend they eat something quick and light... just to top off their energy stores. A small bowl of cereal or an English muffin works fine. The most important thing is making sure they get a GREAT post-workout meal... high calories / protein / carbs!
I usually take breakfast 30mins or an hour be4 workout, i eat carbs before workin out. Hey a question, how old were they in the video? Do you train guys like 14-16 ?
@StrongerTeamDotCom People always say that teenagers under 16 yrs old doing weight training will stunn growth, especially carrying weight standing exercise will stunn growth cuz it stress yr vertebra, is it right? Or how do can i do weight training if i'm almost 16. I've started weight training for about half year, should i still focus on indurance? or should i do the set of havey weight that can only perform 8-12 reps? I am puzzled.
@kb826062871 Those "people" are 100% wrong. If done correctly, proper strength training will in now way stunt a person's growth. I highly recommend players begin an age appropriate strength program when they are around 12 or 13 years old. I would recommend working between 12-15 reps and always use perfect form.
@kb826062871 Any time there is a given rep range you pick the heaviest weight you can handle with great form for the desired number of reps. Meaning you pick a weight that you can do at least 12, but is heavy enough you can't do 15+. Picking light weights for sum-maximal sets is a waste of time!
@kb826062871 "It's what you have, it's what you do." You can get in a great workout WITHOUT any equipment. Last Thursday we were locked out of the weight room and we did a workout outside! Back pedal up an incline, walking lunges up an incline, explosive step ups on a bench, push-ups and modified pull-ups on a handrail! The guys said it was harder than a weight room workout!
Thanks, i got you. But those facilities and systems help. Everyday have to go to school for a day, my country dun organise such "big" sports event... if someone come to advertise or teaches, would be better.
@Hoopdreams3ani There are usually 7 or 8 guys at every morning workout... I just happened to key in on 3-4 of them when I was filming. The morning session is "invite only" (by me)... and is for the most part... our top players.

megawideball 1 year ago
@StrongerTeamDotCom coach, did they use supersets with these workouts or did they do them "individually"?
Also, for the elevator routine, did you immediately do a "pull" right after a "push" or did they rest??
Thanks

@Hoopnwork For the most part they supersetted everything... and yes... the followed each push with a pull!
