I love the fact that the olympics are comming to the UK, however, I think some of the decisions made have been ridiculous. The stadium looks awful, this is meant to be the centrepoint of the games and it is hideous! Also, we were sold on the idea that it was a sustainable cheaper design as it was to be reduced after the games. So... it cost £600 million, thats without the cost of the after-games conversion plans! These plans should have been in place before the stadium was designed and built!
@6XMachine For £600 million they could have built a fantastic permanent stadium that could have had a lower tier that is on rollers thereby allowing for a running track during the olympics & athletics events. Then, for the majority of the time, to suit the needs of football, the lower tiers could be moved over the running track so that the fans have a good view over the action. LOCOG really don't have a clue, & they don't seem to care either on public opinion (the stadium, logo, ticketing...)

I love the fact that the olympics are comming to the UK, however, I think some of the decisions made have been ridiculous. The stadium looks awful, this is meant to be the centrepoint of the games and it is hideous! Also, we were sold on the idea that it was a sustainable cheaper design as it was to be reduced after the games. So... it cost £600 million, thats without the cost of the after-games conversion plans! These plans should have been in place before the stadium was designed and built!

@6XMachine For £600 million they could have built a fantastic permanent stadium that could have had a lower tier that is on rollers thereby allowing for a running track during the olympics & athletics events. Then, for the majority of the time, to suit the needs of football, the lower tiers could be moved over the running track so that the fans have a good view over the action. LOCOG really don't have a clue, & they don't seem to care either on public opinion (the stadium, logo, ticketing...)

@762SLR762 Didn't do law at school, did usual things, maths, geography etc, to enable me to enter the workplace of my choice, I wanted to go into construction and did, why call me a dick ? The EEC was not created for the good of the people as a whole, it was created by the rich to profit from a moveable workforce of 12 million or so unemployed people that the ruling classes can move around Europe on minimum wages to further the greed of the top dogs, in my opinion.
