Paypal is a corporation that has become to large and greedy to personnally deal with issues.I was a top rated seller for 4 years until one day i listed a item with ''no refunds unless item is broken'' so the guy faked it was broken so he could refund it and now i have to wait 3 months to recieve each payment!Its a crime!There stealing our money! Paypal is a scam. I've been ripped off by Papal several times.Once i bought a book for $79. on Eba plus $35.shipping,but when i received the book,it was totally different book,then i filed a dispute through Paypal,but Papal made send the book back to the seller and paid another $45.shipping to Malaysia.However, the fucking seller refused that he got the book,so paypal closed the case the seller got the book and the money and i got screwed. Fuck Paypal.

well i have no problem with paypal and ebay they have both been great with me ive had 2 problems one was i once baught a guitar that was fake and paypal got me my money back. and because the guitar was fake i didnt have to send the guitar back i got my refund and  kept the guitar. another problem was some one sold me a guitar that was faulty and i got a refund

I think its time for us to really push to call out Pay Pal for what it is. This is happening to our company all the time. A Customer purchases Parts, receives the parts, then claims unauthorized use. The orders are brand New no complaints from the customer. They get to keep the order and the Money. This is happening all to often and its time to tell the world Pay Pal is not safe to deal with. This month alone we have lost over $7,000 US and its happening every month. Yes Pay Pal Sucks!

That really sucks, especially the customs and international delays. I am a seller on ebay, and though I feel sorry for your situation, I'm glad to see that they limit accounts. Until I saw this, I had no clue they did anything w/ chargebacks done by buyers. I can't beleive they limit an account on one instance and not on a pattern, they're being ridiculous in that respect.

The real dispute does not starts within 21 days while PayPal holds the money unless the seller ships the product. The real dispute starts within 45 days after the seller receives the payment and after the buyer receives the product. There's no excuse for PayPal to hold money for any reason. They do not have the right to do that.

They are good at protecting the Buyer if they start a claim before 45 days. However they will never protect the seller. You should always send the item insured. Then you can go after the shipper.

@JONSEREDdotWS I agree with you that the 45 days of dispute is good for the buyer. However, the 21 days of holding money is not where the dispute begins. It begins after the seller receives the payment into his bank and after the buyer receives the product. Then if something goes wrong, the buyer file a dispute not to get money back as the first option, but to give time for buyer and sellers to solve the problem. If they fail, then either the seller or PayPal refund the money.

I was keeping 35 bucks in the account after I sold some stuff because I was going to turn around and spend it sometime that week on something. Too late, Paypal fucking froze it and kept the money. your "limit" of 5 grand is only for personal accts, Upgrading to a premier gives you unlimited sending and recieveing with no additional fees.

Interesting stuff. I've only used PayPal a few times to send extremely modest donations to other YouTubers from time to time, using a credit card as payment, and haven't had any problems with them.

If you use a check or money order you have no protection.Credit cards offer that protection.PayPal is fully owned and operated by Ebay and is heavily promoted as the ONLY way to purchase on e bay only allowing credit card purchases by going through them.

As far as I know you don't need to register a paypal account to buy something.

As for the limits I never had that because I went right from personal account to business account.

They would not stay the only option if more people would use some of the other processors.

Also you can often send a check or money order to many ebay sellers.

Good luck, your account should be unfrozen when they are done 'investigating'.
