Athletes usually have shorter lifespans because they often do harmful things to their bodies for glory and money. Testosterone and speed will make anyone far more agile, powerful, and coordinated. It will also allow someone to train skills (like batting or pitching) much longer and much more often. No clean athlete can make it. Jeter used HGH, BTW. keeps joints healthy.

I thought that the steroid testing around that year was supposed to have been kept confidential in the first place. The REAL question is...who were the "geniuses" who divulged the tested results in the first place. Now I have been around hospitals..and i understand with any information..its administered towards a HIPPA agreement..i am not sure the location where roids are tested..but if any information was given out from medical personnel they are screwed for sure LOL *AKA sued up the ass*

In 2003 it wasnt illegal, and in that new report that just came out from 2003 people weren't suppose to know about it, somebody opened there mouth. If you watched the gammon's interview with arod he clarified he used the roids for a major neck and back injury he suffered. So what really seems like arod was in the wrong boat at the wrong time. Back in the era of the Babe, all the athletes used amphetamines, so its not like professional sports were ever clean. Athletes usually have shorter lifespans because they often do harmful things to their bodies for glory and money. Testosterone and speed will make anyone far more agile, powerful, and coordinated. It will also allow someone to train skills (like batting or pitching) much longer and much more often. No clean athlete can make it. Jeter used HGH, BTW. keeps joints healthy.

Thats what fans of A-Rod said last year when I said he was on it. Just look at him... he is pretty muscular. ALL top athletes use the stuff. The tests are very easy to trick too. HGH isn't even detectable yet. Jeter is more muscular now than he was when he was 21. That lets you know right there.

MLB doesn't care. If they really cared about steroid use, they would implement the following rule: Every player will submit to mandatory testing. Those testing positive for illegal steroid use will be banned from MLB for life and all their records expunged from all official records.

At the very least, MLB should take back that MVP trophy and give it to the player who really deserved it that year and put an asterisk next to every stat in the years since that positive test.
