i read some comments on here about how even in a fight you can't die, and although that's true it's still very difficult because everytime you get knocked down and miss you button to counter your enemy elika will save you but the enemy gets health back, like rewinds time O_o
When you progress in game you can do more and different counterattacks. They are a bit like the speedattacks in TT. Push the right button on the right time. When you miss, Elika is there to save you. It's true the enemy gets some of his health back and even more when you progess in game. After a while you get used to the speed and diversion of the counterattacks. But when you miss one or two it's not the end of the world. You just have to fight the enemy longer while you get more experienced.

You never played the game have you? There's 2 stages in the fight system. First it's the normal one, you ain't hurt or anything. Second you're hurt it even has an animation showing him holding his rib. Third stage is "death". Only difference with this death is: Instead of showing a death animation and a loading screen then appear to a nearby platform, you'll see a cutscene with Elika saving you and taking you to the nearby platform. Doesn't break the immersion(1/2)

That's Blasphemy. The Old ones are considered one of Last Gen's Best games in the leagues of Devil May Cry and God Of War. And The SOT Trilogy itself had the Critic Scores to prove that.
New Prince Of Persia has the LOWEST Scores, LOWEST Sales and LOWEST Preference. I am not saying its a bad game. But its simply not in the league of the Trilogy in terms of anything except maybe the Presentation and Technicalities are far better!
I believe that was the same with Sands of Time, who knows what Ubisoft is planning next? Maybe it will become even better than the Trilogy (hope so)...

I'ts not the fans complaining about it so much as it is simply the SoT trilogy fanboys who were introduced to Prince of Persia with that game, unaware of the fact that it deviates more from the old-school PoP games than this one did in some aspects. I absolutely hated this prince of persia, as well as SoT, the best one are the oldest ones, they were pretty hard, and even tought the story line was much simpler, it was way better.
If it took difficulty to maintain quality, half the games from twenty years ago still being made today wouldn't exist. For what it's worth, the original games' difficulty lied more in it's gameplay engine than sheer intentional challenge.
Just so idiots can stop minus'ing my comment about the film, I'm a big PoP fanboy so I'm just saying it how it is. An example of my opinion, two words: Max Payne.
Just as a recap, PS3 sucks, and especially this holiday season. The PS3's only "major" title was Resistance 2 and frankly, the game can't stand up to the combined awesomeness of GoW 2, Fable 2, and Left 4 Dead. Suck it up PS3 fan boys, the PS3 may have some slightly shinier graphics and a Blu-Ray player(Which is pretty much irrelevant until a few more years have passed) but the 360 has the titles, and that's what consoles are all about.
Dead Space has no Multiplayer. Can you play as infected in Dead Space? No. I'm not saying Dead Space is a bad game, but I got everything out of Dead Space from a rental. I'm still playing L4D.

Prince of Persia doesn't bend time, the sands of time bend time. Leonidas eats Persians for breakfast. He would take the sands and sprinkle them on his Persians and then eat them.
I got altairs outfit by signing up with ubisoft... I don't know if you get the triangle button on the bottom left on the main menu saying exlusive content or something, so if you do just press triangle you'll be brought to this screen, sign up and you'll get altairs outfit
To be fair Persia wasnt just iran but iraq and most middle easten countries to. Personoly i think Persia sounds better than iran iraq and most others anyway. they should have kept it for one of them.

LBP has a lot of multi player fun and the gameplay is nothing but silly antics so you are never bored.
prince of persia is an awesome new title that has a great story, multiple unlockables, and is just an overall good game.
think the depth of prince of persia with the freedom of assasin's creed and that's what you get.
also, i love the conversation commands. never thought of a jane austen dub though lol.

the problem is not that it's a disappointment. it's the fact that it is different.
many critics and reviewers praise the game, but they warn the die hard fans that unless you embrace the changes, you will not enjoy the game.
obviously you did not take this advice, hence you thought the game was bad.
i personally loved prince of persia's SOT trilogy, and although this was much different in the mechanics, i thought this was also quite well done for the series' first jump to the next gen.

I got altairs outfit by signing up with ubisoft... I don't know if you get the triangle button on the bottom left on the main menu saying exlusive content or something, so if you do just press triangle you'll be brought to this screen, sign up and you'll get altairs outfit

To be fair Persia wasnt just iran but iraq and most middle easten countries to. Personoly i think Persia sounds better than iran iraq and most others anyway. they should have kept it for one of them.

The Persian Empire is now constrained to Iran, not Iraq. Iraq was part of the Persian Empire colony. In Iran, they speak Persian or Farsi and not Arabic. I agree with your point though :)

The first two Prince of Persias were pretty awesome. The third one was pretty good but now it's starting to get old, samey and crap. I mean, c'mon! A black outline? Is it just me or is Ubisoft trying to rip off Okami now?
