one of the things the maker of umineko just liked to do was drop in little easter eggs. okonogi in umineko and okonogi in higurashi are just an easter egg for people to giggle at, not actually canon.

like how in the vn third tea party, bern tells lambda she'll reveal the culprit in higurashi no naku koro ni, and lambda screams "NOOOOOO I HAVENT FINISHED IT YEEEEEET!"

@cutekiwisalad It depends how much time you have. The VN is like a virtual book. It also depends how good your eyesight is to read it on the bright computer screen. Since there are 2 new arcs each year (August and December) and come out during break than it would probably take about a week? It took me atleast 3 days to finish the 5fth arc.

And now there may not even be an adaptation of Umineko Chiru which, as you may no doubt be aware, is the followup to the first four Umineko "episodes". Not that I can't live without it, but it's something I would like to see happen. To experience people bringing Umineko to life in such a way as much as they can afford is one of the reasons why I found the anime enjoyable.

Well, considering the story and mysteries of Umineko, I view the three mediums (game, manga, and anime) as difficulty levels in a video game:

Anime = Easy mode

Manga = Normal mode

Game = Hard mode

The harder the "mode", the more details there will be when it comes to solving the mystery of Umineko. Some of these details are red herrings, mind you, so don't go bashing the anime so readily just because it's not as intricate.

@luluFUCKER Ya she does die. If you read the visual novel, it says at the end that she died in 1998 or something. Theories suggest that either Amakusa accidently killed her when he saved her from Kasumi, and others that when she jumped off the skyscraper she went into a coma and died. Although no one is sure how she died. Hopefully, in the next few last episodes coming out they'll reveal what actually happen.

I'm really diggin this video. They show all characters that have been introduced so far and recap all the past games. It'd be kinda cool if they used this song for an opening to the anime version, at least that's what I think. What intrigues me about Umineko is all the witches and magical stuff we've been seeing. Is the magic even real, or have all the murders and strange happenings been carried out by other means, and the "magic" is just an illusion to cover up what's really happening?

It depends how you look at it. That's the whole point of the game/anime.

If you look at it from Battler's perspective. Then there is no magic and everything is a illusion and it can be explained through logic. The problem is, how do you prove that it's a bluff and magic was not required for the murders?

Guys, this is Volume 5 of the Umineko Motion Graphics. Volume ≠ Episode. This has nothing to do with Episode 5 and is a recap of all four question arcs instead.

Anyway, this being about Episode 5 doesn't make sense since they were both released at the same time. The UMG are unoficial fan-made MADs so there's no way they would know what End of the golden witch is about before its release.
