  • Always do my dead lifts, and power cleans etc first, always figured it helped doing it first. Thanks for the verification.

  • Vermont Represent!!! haha

  • black coffee 4life

  • Longer than a long time? Wow...that is a long time...Seriously though...I will apply your 'arranging workouts' advice into my routine and see what happens. ...

  • what do you think about stuff like noxplode or jack3d?

  • Hi, how are you. What do you think about eating before you work out?

  • Doesn't caffeine use spike cortisol levels? I know many of the benefits of using caffeine, but you cannot really create new energy it has to come from somewhere, you are just putting your body in a state of greater emergence (AKA stress). Correct me if I'm wrong, just trying to incite some conversation.

  • you know you can change the title. you dont have to put up an annotation

  • wtf is a bronchade

  • @agonizedfever it's "Bronkaid". it is used for congestion relief lol but like Elliot said, it does have Ephedrine in it.

  • @agonizedfever go to bronkaid dot com to find out. its for breathing problems but it has ephedra in it. you can only buy so much of it a month i think like 3 grams total.

  • My pre-workout energy: Metal, metal, and more metal.

  • HOLY SHIT ELLIOT ANSWERED MY QUESTION. DONT NEED ANYTHING PRE WORKOUT TODAY! haha thanks man, you completely nailed the question I was asking and I can't think of any clarification to ask for.

  • Yo Elliot! Been watching your vids for a few months now. Great info! Since you played D-1 football I was curious if you're familiar with AdvoCare. I'm not trying to be shady, so I'll be upfront and say that I myself do use and share the products. Thought you'd at least like to know about it since you're likely familiar with the athletes who take it, and with one of the docs who makes it since you had to study his material to get your NSCA cert.

  • Beta Allinine and Creatine with some caffeine and ephedrine works perfect. Also BCAA's. Go with all capsules and avoid the sucralose in all those shitty drinks.

  • Yo Elliot! How come you do your workout before breakfast? I thought that heavy strength training needed full glycogen stores.. Nice vid though, learn something new every time;)

  • What about jack3d elliot? I've been using that for a bit and it's an amazing supplement. Supplement reviews.com gives it a 8.8/10 with over 600 reviews

  • @orochimaruisugly Jack3d user here.

You would do well to use Jack(e)d after talking an off cycle (i.e., two-months of none use) from whatever pre-workout sups you may be currently using.

The reason for this is because Jacked is a fairly unadulterated pre-workout sup, one that will *not* promote many of the minor sensations you may receive from other leading pre-sups (e.g.,NO Xplode, Superpump 250, Nano Vapor).

  • @AmadeusExcello Sweet! Thanks bud

  • YO ELLIOT!!!! hold on man, if the heavy squats are better in the beggining then why if your doing bench pressing you start with a light weight, and put more weight in the 2 and 3 set, isnt that a better way if you would do the easy stuff first and get your muscle tired, and then when they are tired make even harder sets with squats??? doesnt it create a better msucle grow??

  • @flipsipp199076 You're talking pre-exhaust. Works well for bodybuilders (not all the time) but I'm not sure it benefits strength athletes.

  • Nice shirt homie, Go Rays and Go Bucs!

  • @aMSkEes went to the game yesterday... they lost :(

  • EXPLOSIVE!

  • so after extensive research on myself,i can safely say that the most heat that you lose from your body is through your palms.

next time when you overheat in a hard training session,or just you fast walk for 30 minutes or even jog,put your palms in cold water for 2-3 (max 5) minutes and your pulse and muscles will be as good as new in those 2 or 3 minutes.

no more an hour relaxation period when you finish running and so on,try it out and see how much time you save :)

  • @WeskerUmbrella4 thanks, that's very interesting... I always thought it was through your head that you lost the most heat?

  • @strengthcamp actaully it's true as well, but that applies in the winter, since people don't wear hats.I had this in my head a long time ago but it was confirmed when i saw it on Discovery too.A researcher did the same thing on a test subject after fast walking on inclined treadmill.

So to sum it up : when you do biceps, you can hold 1 hand in cold water while doing exercise with the other. That will even increase your max repetitions since your muscles cool at the same time you are working out :)

  • @WeskerUmbrella4 that sounds pretty awesome! i gotta try it out, thanks!

  • Elliot what you think about 1,3 dimethylamylamine/ geranamine as mild alternative for ephedra? It's all over the place these days and relatively cheap to buy.

  • Yo! Elliot! You say you work out first thing in the morning, do you literally get up and work out? Or is it say 45mins+ before you get under a bar? As I have read that bending etc. can be bad for your back?

  • eat whole grain wheat carbs in the morning

  • YO ELLIOT I DEVELOPED ACHILLES TENDONITIS AFTER DOING A STEP CLASS I WAS REQUIRED TO DO BEFORE STARTING TO TEACH MY OWN CLASS. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE TIME OFF TO TEACH THIS CLASS BECAUSE I NEED THE $. I DON'T TEACH THE CLASS LIKE UR USUAL STEP CLASS. IT'S MORE INTERVAL CARDIO BASED USING FUNTIONAL MOVEMENTS, BUT I DO INCORPORATE THE STEP AS A TOOL TO KEEP THE B*TCHES FROM B*TCHN ABOUT IT BEING A STEP CLASS AND WHY AREN'T WE STEPPN. HOW CAN I RECOVER WITHOUT HAVING TO STOP TEACHING MY CLASS?

  • yo you are the man ! black maxwell house 1 cup and some kool aid extra water and its 5:30 am gym time 4 times a week that 5 hour crap just makes me sh!t peace. Elliott is the man

  • good video, you know what your talking about.

  • Hey Elliot doesn't working out on an empty stomach put your body into a catabolic state causing you to utilize your muscle for energy since all your having in the morning is the black coffee? Shouldn't you be having a protein shake as this is an anabolic window first thing in the morning. Any input in regards to this matter?

  • @jam35dm Yea, that's what I've always been told... but this seems to be working for me right now as my strength has not suffered much. I like breaking "rules" just to see what happens... and so far I can't say that "only training after eating" rule always applies. (take this with a grain of salt, but if you're really interested test it out yourself) I may talk more about this in another video.

  • @strengthcamp I get what your saying and I guess it works for you obviously then. I have done this in the past but not consistently so couldn't give a good "input" so to say. But another video would be great, to each is own I guess and that's what bodybuilding is all about!

  • @jam35dm also, most of my efforts right now are towards increasing relative strength and conditioning... but if I were in the market for more muscle mass and maximal strength increases, I would train in the evening after several meals. So, it really depends on the current goal.

  • Does ephedra cause any muscle or strength loss? Does it just burn calories?

  • You make really good videos. Much better than typical bodybuilding youtube channels.

  • hey elliot i was wondering if you could explain the ECA stack a little more

  • @GrungeRockGod Ephedrine is still available in over the counter products like Bronkaid (available in most pharmacies). Pair one tab of that along with a No-doz pill and boom you have EC. The A stands for aspirin and isn't required in the "stack" for it to be effective.

  • "JACK THREE DEEE"

    "1 EM ARE"

    fukken loled

  • you are a cool guy were you popular at school? haha random i know

  • @steelalx haha! i was a captain on the football team... so, i guess that got me some cool points in high school ;)

  • How do you workout on an empty stomach first thing in the morning? Is it good or bad? Do you get really tired? I was always told to eat at least 2-3 meals before workout routine.

  • @MCchuster i always work out in the morning on a empty stomach seems fine some people have like low blood sugar and cant though give it a try see how u feel plus u also get your work out done with for the rest of the day

  • you cant go wrong with coffee.its cheap, effective, has antioxidants

  • hahaah sickk intro song

  • So to reiterate, you're recommending to do compound movements before isolation movements?

  • I usually have a coffee 30mins before a workout, jack3d 20mins before ITS INSANE

  • I have peak energy after 2 big meals and my mid-afternoon nap. This is when I workout.

  • XXXPLOSIVE

  • just wondering anyone can answer me.

would i get more benifit out of my arms by doing biceps and triceps on different days becuase ido them both on one day?

    thanks x

  • @Genosiidez I get a better pump by doing them both on the same day. The extra blood in your arms is good for you.

  • @Toki52 nice thanks!

  • coffee

    milk

    Muscle Milk

    banana

  • Love your videos man.. very informative!

  • Ooh damn Elliot exxpolisive, now i've gotta go listen to that song

  • hey hey heyyyyyy smoke weed every day!

  • Try to Dodge pre workout shakes with 1,3 Dimethylamylamine (also known as DMAA Methylexanamine & Geranamine), It is a Sympathetic nervous system stimulator which can lead to high blood pressure and even strokes if used with high intensity exercises.

Just some info from Jeff Cavaliere.

  • love the introductory sex music

  • Jack3d actually works pretty damn well, and its cheap. Havent tried the ECA stuff to compare it with though...

  • very informative elliot. thank you for the information

  • Doing squats at the beginning won't do shit to increase test levels to actually make a difference. Complete and utter broscience.

    Good info though Elliot.

  • @MajorMelon Its been shown scietificly that compound heavy lifting promotes an increase in test levels , as its so demading and the stress your body goes through needs a compensation . HOW ? by producing more Cells, which needs more TEST ! The heavier you lift the more muscle/ test , and as elliot said in this video this movements are to be done at the begining , therefore I would suggest they do more than shit to increase your overall strength/ test levels ...

  • @rmelgar9 And what studies do these happen to be? Compounds do increase test levels, yes. But nothing significant to make a difference.

And producing more cells. I lol'd at that. Please go do some research buddy.

  • Comment removed

  • @rmelgar9 You've gotta be kidding me... When one strength trains, muscle hypertrophy takes place. This is the ENLARGEMENT of muscle cells. New muscle cells are not made from working out...

Again, go do some research buddy please.

  • @MajorMelon easy there sheldon cooper .... thats your way out ? " go do more research " Why don't you share your knowledge YODA !?

I thought hypertrophy was generated by ( 8-12 reps ) while strength training goes from 1 rep to 5 , if you feel I'm mistaken tell me whats right then ...

How does one generate muscle ? apperantly my humble knowledge from stronglifts, arnold scwarzennegger and the truth about steroids is mistaken.... then tell me how YODA?

  • @rmelgar9 One generates muscle SIZE by working out.

My point at the end of the day is, muscle cells cannot be MADE by working out, whether your training for strength or for size.

And an increased test level does not make new muscle cells either. Their is a name for people like you, it's called a bro-scientist.

  • @MajorMelon I said RED BLOOD CELLS you don'tknow me , and I don't believe in labels .... I want to know more , call me whatever the fuck you want , i'll keep getting bigger , faster stronger , muscles are made in the gym not youtube ! and I'm off ! just wasted 20 mins of my life reading your stupidiy while I could be reading Schwarzennegger, you're a silly kid whick I could probably lift 100 times ....

  • @rmelgar9 Ok LMAO now i know your just a simply an idiot. I'm done arguing with you.

  • @MajorMelon how much do you deadlift champ ? keyboard master ...

  • @rmelgar9 There is no point telling you, because then you're just gonna claim something higher than mine...

This is the last comment i'm leaving here. Cbb for this anymore. Good day sir.

  • @MajorMelon ...between men , there is no bullshit, I asked you a straight question which you are evading 'cause you are afraid of someone doing something better than you, you are man enough to "argue" with me ,but you won't talk about your lifts , now you showed me what you are made of, so what if I lift more or less , I'm not your enemy , I'm like you ,wanting to learn and get better ! Good day KID ! stay strong ! say your prayers , eat your vitamins and keep watching YO ELLIOT !

  • @rmelgar9

    lol @ hulk hogan quote

  • @matklstrength Born in the 80's ,) !!

  • @rmelgar9

haha i remember that it was quality, "TRAIN, SAY YOUR PRAYERS, EAT YOUR VITAMINS, BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, TRUE TO YOUR COUTRY, BE A REAL AMERICAN"

  • @MajorMelon Everyday of my life I do more research , thanks for the tip ! ... most strength training will do that , isn't that why you train? more muscle ? more cells ? WTF is muscle anyway cells right ?

More testosterone = more red CELL production ...

  • @MajorMelon And where do you get your information? Because if Elliot is such an idiot you should make some videos and I can just watch them instead..

  • @juicyj56 Was i referring to Elliot? I agree with everything Elliot has to say. But he didn't mention anything about test levels so cleared it up.

    Strong comprehension skills man.

  • @rmelgar9

Yes, compound movements are best for increasing testosterone levels, as these involve more muscles and require more neuro-muscular reactions or whatever the term is. However, training for size and training for strength are very different. If you are mainly going for hypertrophy, or muscle growth, you want to be training with moderate weight, or basically enough to do 3-4 sets and 8-10 reps for each set on an exercise. For strength, or power, about 1 set with no more than 6-8 reps.

  • @jreily88 And your point is? Like i didn't know shit about working out... Come join us on bb.com forums. You might learn a thing or two.

  • @jreily88 I agree ...

  • @MajorMelon

I'm sorry, but in case you didn't realize, my last comment wasn't directed towards you. Now, I will say that the other guy was way off topic when he said it would produce more cells.

  • Really like this video and beautiful background!

  • Yo elliot ! can I make my own ECA stack with prolabs 200mg caffeine ans ephedrine hcl mg ?

  • YO ELLIOT; you should write YO ELLIOT in the beginning or at the end of each YO ELLIOT video-title, so it's easier to find them fast :)

  • Yo elliot ! whats smarter ? starting with powerlifting or bodybuilding ?

  • @rmelgar9 haha nice 1

  • @rmelgar9 Bodybuilding. Create a foundation. Then go into the powerlifting stuff once you have a balanced complete physique without any ( or minimal ) muscular imbalances. But always go heavy on your big movements. (about 5 reps)

  • @PushhIt94 Right now Im doing the stronglifts 5x5 method whicch consist in full body movements only ! But Im noticing my calves need some work therefore Im ading some calve raises and curls ...

PS: stronglifts plus ELLIOTS natural steroids advice on rest ! have increased my deadlift from 135 to 315 in 4 months :D !

  • i think he didn't mean : should he squat first or do leg presses first but would doing squat at the beginning of a workout help to lift more, activate cns or create more growth hormone regardless of which body part he's training?

  • @edanazee thats the stronglifts 5x5 method ! and it is solid, as squats are the most complete fullbody workout !

  • the guy working at the shop where I buy my protein, creatine and whatnot, told me that caffeine breaks down creatine. Not that 1 cup would hurt a lot, but if you can go without it's better to avoid it.

    Is that true?

  • @fenriryannick some creatine supps like nox, etc. come with caffeine ... the logic of what you were told is (caffeine is a diuretic, creatine retains water ,) yet you would need a 100mg/ 1g ratio to make that counter productive , as far as gainig water weight , but as long as your workouts are JACKED plus a fair DIET ! it shouldn't damage your strength/muscle gains ...

Do remember that Elliot himself has said to keep an eye on stimmulants ( the less the better) balance is the key ,)

  • thumbs up if one of youre wishes is to meet elliot!!!

  • 0:14 The text is wrong, its from yesterdays video.

  • @thepineapple1 which changes what?? apart from satisfying your unusual obsession with unnecessarily perfect grammar that is

  • @Nikon05 Read the comment of the guy I'm replying to. He was being anal about spelling, but failed to write correctly himself, and I was pointing that out. I'm the good guy!

  • @thepineapple1 ah ok, lol, apologies, I thought you were one being anal. Im the same as you, can't stand people like that!
