  • Excellent band! Excellent soloist!!

  • Comment removed

  • muito bom.. a banda onde eu toco usa esse arranjo tambem!

  • learn to film before posting video....

  • that was really cool, it was a little too exaggerated at times, but other than that, i liked it...lmao!! the guy next to the soloist was so cute! lmao!! he wouldnt stop luaghing! haha

  • was that last note right? its supposed to be an "A" right? kinda sounded like a squeak rather than an altissimo note.

and i kno that "f" near the end is supposed to be held something like 18 or so measures, but a little louder would have been nice. nice job.

  • We're playing this arrangement in my middle school band and the eighth notes are straight, it's written out. and that last note on the alto solo is super high altissimo.

  • there are parts in this song where there are straight eight notes, its written into the music.

really nice soloist by the way, very god tone, you definately had some good stuff in there.

  • I agree, it is written straight eights in part.

  • I am not an expert but it was nice.

  • well, it's a little too fast, and the eigth notes should be all swung, not straight, but eh.......it's ok. but you shouldn't try altissimo unless you know you're gonna hit it right off the bat

  • That trombones sound like an undefined woof. Really killed an other wise good middle school band.

  • HIGH SCHOOL. Read the description.

  • His ligature is not upside down. It's inverted, which gives it a fatter tone and holds the reed better. For a middle school band, this is very good. My advice for you is to relax the tempo a little bit more. it sounds too "square" or too classical. The eighth notes need to be swung a little more.

  • i posted a vid response with my middle school playing a dif version of this song plz rate!!! Please alow bento !!! we only had like two minths to practice, and we are midlle school so dont be t harsh. btw, that solo lasted way to long he should hav shared it with someone....

  • uuuuummmmm, it was OK

  • emmmmm its kinda of fast u think?

  • uhhh sorry but i mastered this solo in 8th grade... with the middle school jazz band, im not trying to be rude but this entire production is just a little obnoxious sounding

  • Aren't you special.

  • eeh,

so just go back to your 8th grade, record yourself on video and post the whole thing right here.

    if you can't, just STFU

  • guitar's horrible

  • Oh and btw I play this song with my jazz band and i have a mid song solo that sounds like when he plays around 3 minutes in.

  • Is it just me or the soloist's ligature is upside-down?

  • lol, this is just funny! What in the hell did you play at the end? Because let me tell you, it was BAD! Overall not terrible, but by no means good, and please never play another altissimo note until it makes some sort of sense lol!

  • I've gotta say this: I like the tone, and the fact that you kind-of made it your own. Few things I did not like is that speed...it should be a lot slower so you can express way more emotion through your sax. Also, the last note...what was that?? Did you just bite down on your reed and blow? It's supposed to be an altissimo A, if you can't get it...take it down an octave or hold the E and play a B at the end so it actually fits in the chord. The B would be the color note so it still stands out.

  • sucked big time

  • what a horrible ending not even an altissimo note

  • the wa-wa thing wuz to broad and you did it way to much, and wut wuz that at the end?! wuz that supposed to be some sorry excuse for Altissimo? Very bad.

  • i might be a fag for saying this but it's "was"...sorry it's for your own good

  • i agree, too fast, ballads are not that fast

  • Way to fast,

take my advice from a tenor player,

its a ballad man, like everyones is saying,

your never gonna get that chick if you play it

    like that.

    Beautiful though

  • Check out the Ron rault version

  • it was too fast

  • yea, not bad, not bad at all. However, this piece was NEVER meant for this tempo. Its slow, elegent tempo allows the soloists soul to flow through the instrument... I play tenor, alto, soprano sax, and clarinet in HS Jazz. It's one of my favorite songs to play on any instrument. It breathes seduction, sex, remorse, and sinister through every note. Just slow it down =P

  • If were slower...

The sax is good, the metals, too! More slow please, next time.

  • not bad

  • I agree with mmmVengeance, take it slower and swing it more.

I played this in HS too, reason I love this song is because I felt seduction, passion and rythm, it's one of my favorite songs to play :)

  • its good my friend. but your swinging like a dead monkey. put everything you have into it. play like your trying to serenade a woman. you play one of the most beautiful instuments and was meant for jazz, give it your all. and it was a little fast, lay it back, alot. your the lead alto you and lead trumpet can control the tempo of the band the most, so if you slow down they will slow down with you...if they listen lol. but magnifiecent playing great tone and dynamics.

  • this is the closer to the marching band im in its a bit different but we play the begginig at 100 bpm then theres a 180 section that ends the show

  • check out my version. it's slower than this one.

  • a little fast, but still pretty good

  • "thats so hot.." - Eze

  • notice how shahan is cracking up at the cut off...

  • i think...still...that was pure hotness.

    XD
