In my experience Gerber is sometimes hit, and miss with their products. However, these knifes definitely fit into the second kind of cool, and especially as collectibles!

BTW, I had a Gerber Commander I when I was a kid in the 80's. My first cool knife as a teenager I saved for and bought at a gun show. Somewhere along the way I lost it....actually I think one of my "so called" friends relieved me of it. Great heavy duty knife!

Very nice thing you are doing, there are so many folks out there that just love blades like I do but are not as fortunate as I am (I have a decent job-50k+ year), also there are many that are just starting in their collection of blades, many start out with the "Cheap" stuff from BudK etc. than graduate to better brands, I am saving my pennies for a Randall even though reviews have not been great but I'd love 1 for my humble collection (64 items at last count), WTG keep up the good work.
