is i was playing bass on the track i can fill you in on exactly what went on, each musician was required to record 2 takes in their entirety and then iggy and the gang at liquid studios chose the best track to suit the song and then it was played for the video exactly as recorded by the artist.
For the lot to be played 'live' wouldve been a huge logistical nightmare as live mixing from the other side of the world would be a pretty mean feat! and would have spelt disaster.

we had the choice to play withe either a click or the original.. i played to the original taken straight from the master tapes. but with the vocals removed.
the song was originally recorded by iggy and his original band without the use of a click track (the song actually increases in speed at 20 seconds in or so and varies a little bit through the song so it would be a bit of a chalenge to get the timing rite)

When it's mixed and edited so that it's not just everyone playing all the time like the audio in this video, but certain parts are given priority in various parts of the song, it should sound mint!

I think its good.
A) You cant hear the cello or the xylophone
B) The images on the latops jump around alot for "high speed" broadband. The music doesnt match the "live" clips.
