@KucsikiRukija Pava would be thrilled that you are learning to love classical music at an early age! One of the driving factors of his career was to bring opera to the masses and he is still accomplishing that goal tho he has been gone from us for 4 years.
Il Maestro passed away from pancreatic cancer on Sept. 6, 2007, and we miss him every day since-----
@snared04drummer I don't feel bad for them, I pity them. I'm 21 years old and I am disgusted by my fellow peers. I guess you know society is doomed when people have (false) idols such as "2pac" and Kim Kardashian... but don't even know who Luciano Pavarotti is. Furthermore people have traded the good book for Facebook, Jesus Christ for Chris Brown, their crusifix for twitter. I don't want to sound like a religious fanatic but the almighty shall return and we will all be judged.
@epicalex91 LOL wow you're pathetic "bitch nigga" really? I just went to your profile and noticed not only are you white, but you post comments on rap videos, ect pretending you're black. Mommy and Daddy must be so proud of their little wigger son who's life ambition is to be black. Anyways go find a bridge and jump Mr. keyboard commando. And go listen to Lil Wayne or something and fantasize that you're an OG...lol faggot
@Robertjcksn40 first of all i'm not white, 2nd i bet my parents are a lot more proud of me than yours are of you because i'm 20 i have a girlfriend, job, and my own home so go ahead and talk shit you narcissistic piece of shit, because i don't spend all my time self-loathing because i don't worry about the music everyone else is listening to and i certainly don't judge them on what someone else does or enjoys. in short you're just a douche bag.
@epicalex91 ooooo you have a girlfriend and a job, how wonderful! Because no one in society works, or has a girlfriend. Your recent comments are about "fucking the shit out of (girls)" and engaging in illicit drug use....with that said I'm sure you must have a GREAT job...afterall, jobs without drug screening are usually great!! (McDonalds and Wal-Mart). And your "girlfriend" and you (AKA Your right hand and KY) must really enjoy living in your home (BTW Section 8 is considered a home now?).
@Robertjcksn40 lmfao damn i love it when i see stuff like this. and whoever "epicalex91" damn xD it really is sad but funny when you see wannabe OG white people. i just cant help but roll on the floor laughing when a wannabe white guy tries to be black. "Bitch nigga" LMFAO too funny.
@whitefangex hahhah I know right? As if his pathetic identity issues weren't enough!! What's more pathetic is the fact that he feels so intimidated by a complete stranger on youtube to the point that he sends a lengthy rebuttal explaining that his parents are proud of him and what a success he is....what a sad and insecure individual....offended by a complete stranger.
Thank you Pavarotti. My grandmother Maria passed away last week, and this song was used for her funeral, it reminds me of her. Thank you for allowing me to choose this holy and divine song to wish my grandma well of her passing. :) Rest In Peace Maria
@HeLeX63 My sympathies to your grandmothers passing. I've only recently learned of Mr. Pavarotti and his amazing voice. And most unfortunately with discovering his voice only recently I have learned of his death as well. His music does not fit my generation but I must say I am just engulfed in it and can not get enough. At only 26 I am just taken away by the amazing talent and power of his voice. It is a shame that not many more embrace it as I do.May your grandmother rest in peace.
@Timberwolf460 Thank you!!! I appreciate it. She used to sing this song every time she woke up. Every time I listen to it, it makes me feel happy to know she is in heaven. :)
@Timberwolf460 Tho I am overjoyed that, at your young age, you have embraced the talent that was Luciano, I must disagree with your view that "not many more embrace it". Just look at how many of his vids here have millions and hundreds of thousands of views!
Look at how many "likes" are posted on them! I firmly believe that Pava is still reaching the masses, and new generations of young people and they are becoming, like yourself, fans of opera and of his incredible talent!
@HeLeX63 U are nice to express your gratitude to Luciano Pavarotti. But like your grandma, Pavarotti is singing with the angels in heaven, if there is one.
My name is Marcin and i have dreams that people would listen to me in the future. I’m in love with music and singing, it’s all my life. I have a speech impediment and the others don’t want to give me any chances. I would like to sing in the opera or somewhere similar one day. If you could thumbs up my comment and let people see my channel then it would be the happiest gift for me ! Check out my Adeste Fideles version ! Sorry for the spamm if it annoys you :/
@Covert2String No need to say fuck here, friend. And we're saying our age because the majority of people ages 13-25 have a rather "modern" love of music, but do not appreciate classical, opera, etc.
Mr.Lee Scoraby: unfortunatly from now you can't find singers like pavarotti and Domingo. They belonged to a special Golden years.Today computor speaks not human beings.tomorrow is the day of Facebooks and other un announced products. They may danger every thing we had in the past.OF Curse they make zukenberg to make 27 billion over night but there is a price to pay.as said marlon brando....
Beautiful song, watch my interpretation of it in the guitar, of course it doesn't reach the level of Pavarotti's but it's an OK cover, hope you enjoy it.
Friends with a 16-year old opera singer (to be), very talented. It's wonderful to hear her sing, and to hear her talk about music. It's far too rare to see someone around our age (I'm 17) actually have a proper taste in music.
@MrLeeScorsby MrLee - the world needs more people like you because so many young people do not appeciate (dont understand) this fine art. I could not live in a world without this form of art... You know that Ave Maria is based on Prelude in C by Bach?
@stnwllstv Yes, I agree it is the most wonderful music ever created, however, "the women always do a better job than the men" is your opinion and preference. I prefer men's voices to the often screeching that comes from women's voices and I am a woman coral singer---
@appeace1 Of course it's my opinion. I never tried to pass it off as anything but and it's probably driven by my heterosexuality and love of feminine grace and beauty.
@stnwllstv I'm so glad to know that. To appreciate women for their grace and beauty is, in this day in age, stunning to hear. There are a few sopranos I do admire, but they would be considered lower range. I have been told I have acute hearing in the high range and the upper range of most sopranos actually hurts my ears---not their fault--but makes it very uncomfortable for me. To each their own preference--that helps keep opera, or any other genre fresh!
@appeace1 Don't get me wrong, I do like Pavorotti. I just think that a female voice lends itself better to translating the softness intrinsic to this piece. I see your point though and you're right, to each his own...
Too bad about your hearing though. I'm sorry to hear that.
@stnwllstv Well--I guess being a woman, I have the intrinsic "preference" for the male voice, however, I do not care for all tenors or baritone or bass voices, but prefer the big, resounding, resonating, free, voices coming from robust, charismatic men. Also, in my humble opinion, no one can sing the Italian better than an Italian-----
@appeace1 "intrinsic "preference" for the male voice," -- That is possible. I wouldn't have you thinking I know squat about opera because I don't. I just like good quality music performed by talented artists.Unfortunately, there is little to none of that being made today.I'm also a fan of a Russian dancer named Anastasia Skukhtorova whose two best performances can be found on my channel (or hers) but.... it's not for everybody.
@eyePWNThisChannel hehe--yes! That is one thing, I believe, which made him so endearing to his audiences---he never lost his "child like" personality and charm.
@abbyandeloy13 I believe Pava would be so pleased to read your post as bringing opera to the masses was his driving dream. I do hope you will listen to his other performances posted here, both early ones and later ones. There are some interesting differences and everyone has their preference. There is one current young Italian tenor who seems to be taking the opera world by storm, a former student of Pava's, whom I am enjoying more and more---Vittorio Grigolo.
@Inno750 That may be because we do not see the years of training and preparation a singer like Pava devoted himself to before stepping on the stage, nor the continued daily practicing and studying for the life of his career! That intense training is what enables him to make the performance "look easy".
this is true, but when Arrigo Pola saw the very young Pavarotti for the first time, it took him only 15 minutes to know and understand that he was hearing a super talent, and he decided to teach him for free for 3 years.
@babystinky Yes, it also made a difference that he discovered that Pava had perfect pitch. Can you imagine having THE voice and perfect pitch! That's one thing I so admire about Pava. Whereas Domingo has the emotion, or Arrigal has the technique or Krause has the voice---Pava had it all wrapped up in one very sensual, generous, charismatic, person who, with the voice of God, the perfection of technique, the precision of diction, and the
Pavarotti met Music..and Music met Pavarotti...that was the beginning of a great voice,a great artist...

So much emotion in this song
jimbojones091 12 hours ago
This song is too damned profound and emotional for me that I both hate it and love it at the same time.
I hate it because it reminds me of the death of my Grandmother and my Mom (2 years apart).
And I love it because it reminds me of how blessed I was to have known and to have been loved and raised by my Grandmother and my Mom.
The only mother figure I have left in my life now is the Blessed Mother Mary.
Mr. Pavarotti's performance... permanently saved to my favorites list.

@MrLeeScorsby MrLee - the world needs more people like you because so many young people do not appeciate (dont understand) this fine art. I could not live in a world without this form of art... You know that Ave Maria is based on Prelude in C by Bach?

@MrLeeScorsby That's because it IS the most wonderful music ever created.
You should hear it done by Jessye Norman, Nana Mouskouri or Helene Fischer. The women ALWAYS do a better job than the men.
stnwllstv 2 weeks ago
@stnwllstv Yes, I agree it is the most wonderful music ever created, however, "the women always do a better job than the men" is your opinion and preference. I prefer men's voices to the often screeching that comes from women's voices and I am a woman coral singer---
appeace1 2 weeks ago
@appeace1 Of course it's my opinion. I never tried to pass it off as anything but and it's probably driven by my heterosexuality and love of feminine grace and beauty.
stnwllstv 2 weeks ago

Can anyone else see the child in Pavarotti in some parts when he sings this? Incredible music...

Doesn't even look like he's trying. Pros make it look easy I guess.
Inno750 3 weeks ago
@Inno750 That may be because we do not see the years of training and preparation a singer like Pava devoted himself to before stepping on the stage, nor the continued daily practicing and studying for the life of his career! That intense training is what enables him to make the performance "look easy".
appeace1 3 weeks ago
@appeace1
this is true, but when Arrigo Pola saw the very young Pavarotti for the first time, it took him only 15 minutes to know and understand that he was hearing a super talent, and he decided to teach him for free for 3 years.
babystinky 2 weeks ago
@babystinky Yes, it also made a difference that he discovered that Pava had perfect pitch. Can you imagine having THE voice and perfect pitch! That's one thing I so admire about Pava. Whereas Domingo has the emotion, or Arrigal has the technique or Krause has the voice---Pava had it all wrapped up in one very sensual, generous, charismatic, person who, with the voice of God, the perfection of technique, the precision of diction, and the
