Anyway, let's say ALL of the stones weighed 5 tons just for simple math. And we put 50 of them on a ship. The ship would need to be able to displace its own weight plus 2,500 tons. Only 2,500 tons? tankers can carry up to 400,000 tons of crude oil. But liquid is much easier to transport due to low center of gravity. Solid blocks would need to be placed no more than20% higher than the waterline of the ship regardless of its dimensions. 5 rows of 5 does it.. now, we know the blocks average...

Also, I should mention Limestone is more easily SPLIT then cut. It is easy to split by creating fault lines with a chisle, spikes or even by cutting part of the stone. Egyptians also began trading for Iron in the late 3rd dynasty as well. So they were no longer limited to Copper tools. God knows what else they traded for but their ships (used for trading) were incredible - including the rope riggings found in stone caves dating back to about the same time.

Good thinking, Lad22nd... but Precision does not need to be calculated; just expreimented with and repeated. Pure copper has a hardness factor of 2.5 to 3 on the Moh scale - just about the same as limestone's. Natural copper is harder due to metallic impurities. Thanks to tempering, copper chisels and saws could be used to cut limestone from the end of the 3rd dynasty on (ca 2600-2400 B.C.) Cutting grit was also used. The first pyramid was the Step at Saqqara, built for King Zoser in 2750.

But consider that fact that tolerance buildup is an easy thing to keep an eye on in ANY project no matter how massive. 10,000,000,000 blocks or 100 blocks makes no difference when you have a specific ratio. the Golden ratio demonstrates the same thing - a perfect, 3-dimensional spiral - disovered by experimenting and playing with numbers. Again, experimenting YIELDS the calculations needed. Not to say they experimented with entire pyramid.

They knew what time of day, week, month and year to expect to see a point of light at a given coordinance. over 20 years, they had perhaps millions of 'markers' by which to place the stones. Also, regarding the copper tools, they had diamond and corundum coatings and drilled with a pressure of up to 2 tons. 3rd and 4th dynasty Egypt was not populated with idots or Aliens to build thier structures. they were very sophisticated, very observant of nature and did not use GOOGLE ;-))

Sorry, but you can't cut 2,300,000 2.5 to 4 ton limestone blocks with "tempered" copper tools, the blocks were apparently made from a quarry that was 500 miles away.....you do not move 2,300,000possibly 4 or even 5 ton stone blocks with ropes across the mountain range and over the sand, let alone with the precisional north south east and west geometrical accuracy of these blocks, it's not true.

Low grade limestone is easy to cut and split. the Marble was actually 60-80 tons but not nearly as many marble stones were used. Only the marble was shipped from Aswan to cairo; likely via the Red sea which was larger than it is today and may have had additionla inlets. (even without that speculation, it makes for a much diffeent picture than dragging ALL of the blocks 500 miles across sand. The actual distance from Aswan to Cairo is 423 miles.

Sorry but the pyramids are made of exeptionally high grade limestone.... if they "shipped" the blocks across Aswan to Cairo then it would mean they would have to ship many blocks at one time in order to get the block there on time, tell me how one can fit 50 or more 2.5 to 6 ton on a ship without it sinking? even if they got to Cairo they would still have to DRAG these blocks the remaining 77 miles, which is...ridiculous.

Peeps need to read Ed's own stuff. He never claimed anti-gravity and pulleys, chains and blocks are in pictures of him at Coral Castle. He "Discovered" that magnetism induces current. Yup. I have his entire book as Pdf. Anyone want it? All Ed needed to build such an incredible structure of Limestone blocks weighing up to 30 tons each was a sh*t load of water (plenty underground - he even dowsed for it before deciding where to settle) and a LOT of time and patience.

Imagine a 2" stone cube (scaled model of a5 ton block of limestone) placed on the end of a popsicle stick that has been placed upon a fulcrum point such as a M&M candy. On the other end, a small plastic bottle cap. An ant can't move a cap FULL of water but he CAN move a few drops at a time. He pours a drop at a time in... or funnels it or pumps it - or evaporates it and condenses it - whatever. The cup fills and forces its end down and the load end up. Also can be rotated around the M&M.

Peeps on You tube and all over the net have wild ideas about geometry and electro magnetism as a key to anti-gravity. I have researched it myself and continue to do so. Keep in mind, with geometry, math and imagination people can "prove" almost anything. The flywheel Ed had was indeed an attempt to do the same but had nothing to do with the building of coral Castle - except that he ended up using it as a fly-weight for his pump.

I have also studied electromagnetism and "anti-gravity". There is no magic here. Just 5th grade Physics. Egyptians used SAND to do the same thing. Too many "mysteries on You Tube these days. I have been researching Ed Leedskalnin, Coral Castle AND the building of the pyramids for several years. Eds' Flywheel is exactly that - a flywheel from an old Model T Ford. Actually 5 of them encased in Concrete for added mass so when he turned the crank,(Yeah, that would be the handle on the flywheel) it would pump water from underground into a basin he made. From there he used the weight of the water and some '1:N" ration pulleys to move his stones.
