Just use catalyst control center for overclocking, or MSI afterburner. Rivatuner is shit and never worked for me.

Haha that guy must have never played a PC game before, I have a friend that's just like him he says "Why don't you just get a ps3 and I say because PC is so much better than consoles. One question though I have a ATI HD 4670 512mb version and I can't get the core clock to go pass 800 MHz and the memory clock to go pass 923MHz, and that's with using MSI AfterBurner to overclock it. I was using CCC to overclock before and I don't know if that's interfering with Afterburner or not.

@JonnyDude2009 The ps3 and xbox360 are very weak. A good gaming PC will flat dominate them. A top of the line gaming rig can easily out perform multiples of consoles. Put it this way if gaming was cars then using consoles would be driving normal sports cars like the mustang and camaro while pc gaming rigs are more like driving top tier sports cars like the Lamborghini and Ferrari. If all u ever experienced was mustangs u will freak when u drive a Ferrari its the same with consoles and PCs

@Xxx0zkrxxX Well I would recommend you highly to buy the HIS Radeon 4670 IceQ Version. The IceQ version is usally at a colder temperature than the normal HD 4670. But it would be best if you bought a Cooler Maser Extreme 450 Watts Real Power along with a HD 4770 (128-bit GDDR5 1GB) for maximum performance and overclocking. But even if you do but a 4670 i would still recommend you to buy the Real Power 450 Watts by Cooler Master Extreme. Hope my answer helped!

I got the 512mb version of the sapphire card, and mine clocks stable at 825 core 975 RAM on air (Accelero L7) with a max GPU temp of 72c and a max VRAM temp of 64c.

It does actually give errors in furmark and in multiple tests, however it's stable in game. There's no artifacts, and it runs for hours on end lol. And my FPS has improved greatly in MW2 and BFBC2

i have a Sapphire 4670 512mb and my stock clock on the momory is 1000 MGHz i tried to clock it bu i coul onli give it a nother 50 MGHz :)) that wan an efective 2.1 GHz ... and the GPU at 803 MGHz ... and i got like 3-4 FPS more in crysis :)))

why did you overclock the memory so much?

what i found out was the higher/lower the memory, the more/less power is drawn (sensors). so when i oc, i do the same as you - memory from 900 to 1200, 750 to 800. 4870 btw.
