Well, horses for courses I guess. Whilst being 'fat' and 'gay' can  occasionally be used for humour, it shouldn't be the basis for an entire series. I mean, did he do anything as creative or as mental as this on Little Britain? It was more like, 'hey, this joke is funny. Let's repeat it in as many different occasions as possible.' Sometimes it works, but not when that's basically the entire show.
