@tymcbee Afaik, there's only one part where it's really needed (ice pyramid), but of course it does a lot for the atmosphere of the game to know what's being said.
Yeah same here, I always hoped westone would keep more aspects of that game for the sequels but they sort of simplified everything instead. Still love this game though.

It is for sure the most beautiful game designed for the Mega Drive. However, the music and action are so repetitive it makes it the "black sheep" of the Monster World collection. I was really deceived by this game. =(
@domrafa I didn't think it was too repetitive, the dungeons are mostly on par with WBIMW and certainly better than in the earlier games. It was cool to see the pepelogo evolve and find out how to use it (even though it was never that challenging). Good bosses too, and much better controls. I do miss the equipment management and magic attacks though, no idea why they decided to ditch those.
my 2 sisters,my brother and i also tore our hair out when we could not enter the chute!!GOD ...all we have to do is just so simple... just push down + jump?i hope i can play this game again!

Alianger, can you please give me some simple and explicit instructions on how to enter that chute to get into the sanctuary? I'm tearing my hair out - I stand behind the pillar, I read the sign, and then I can't get in. I jump up, I double jump, I jump up and push up on the d-pad. Whatever I do, I can't get in. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
I'd be happy to help but it's been a while since I played.. IIRC you were supposed to press down? Maybe you need to kill all the gargoyles or carry some item. Maybe you need to feed the pepe an apple. I was about to play the game again with the new patch though, so I can send you a savestate or the correct info when I do. Later today or tomorrow.
very good it takes about 8 hours to finish if your good and you know what to do. This is probably the best game on genesis or mega drive along with wonderboy in monsterworld.
Excellent game, graphics and just love those atmospheric tunes! Quite different from the other games in the series, especially this time, there's a wondergirl!

I don't even know this game, but the music for this stage at least is lovely. :)

The best monster world ever if you look the graphics.
But this game is way too easy compared to the previous on Genesis.
Anyway, the better of all is the 3 on MS for me :=)

this is the second "wonderboy" game (after wb in monster land) I was able to finish: it is just great, great story and graphic.

it's definitely the best platformer/RPG on the console but I still hold Shining Force above it for RPGs on the whole.
Crusader of Centy/Soleil is fantastic, too.
