Sum 41 and blink 182 are in no way "skater punk", that's barely even a genre. Blink used to play pop-punk, they eventually became pop-rock, Sum 41 were always pop-rock. Yes, most hip-hop is synthesised, but that doesn't make it bad. The singing about bitches and bling makes it bad.
