nah, I've done a few burnt compressors before and its usually the same story. but I've never seen one run long enough to scorch the discharge line!
I'll see if its still there on monday!

lol the motor area is mainly what got hot, not the pump.
I'd say it was installed without a breaker, or it was too far overrated to shut down when the windings turned into an arc welder!
