I doubt I will have the capacity to tell a Chinese,a Korean,a Japanese or a South East Asian apart no matter how many Asian dramas I watch,they'll always all look the same to me. But I CAN tell the difference when they speak,because Japanese words almost always end in vowels (Toyota,Mazda,Mitsubishi, sayonara,moshi moshi,etc.), whereas Chinese and Korean words don't,and Koreans and Japs speak in a more gutteral way than the Chinese.
