How do you get Resolution 1920X1080? I can just only have max 1680x1020 and when I change in the files to 1920x1080 and then properties ( Read Only ) I works when the meny pops up but it change back at once to the lowest resolution

What do you mean? It is just there. I didn't do anything special. All you need is a 1920X1080 monitor.

TFT panels have a native resolution that they are best to be operated at. You cannot go higher than what your screen supports.

If you want higher resolutions, you need a new monitor. If you have a laptop, you are stuck with it!

If you get a higher res monitor, you will need a better graphics card, etc.

Hi i have an EVGA superclocked edition 9800gt, 2gb ram, Athlon II x3 435 @2.9ghz - i will ov to 3.2. How will this game run at 1920 x 1080 on medium and high settings. I will be using window xp, how will the game overall handle??

At medium it will run a bit faster than this video, since the 9800GT is a stronger card. Your cpu will not be a problem.

As for high I really don't know mate! Since you are using XP and DX9 will be the only option, maybe you will get good performance as well!

A GTS 250 is not meant for max settings in most recent games, but I you tone the settings down a bit, you will be fine! ;)

what drivers do you have? my dad plays this on low with a 3870x2 and it runs 25-50 fps. i think it's dx9 at 1024x768, too.

maybe one of his gpu's isn't working? any help?

This was the catalyst 10.1. It shows the driver version right at the beginning of the video, heheh.

Anyway, try the latest drivers and you can also download MSI Afterburner, isntall it and leave the monitor running, then launch the game play a little and then quit and go back to MSI Afterburner and see if there is activity in both cores.

Also make sure that Catalyst AI is enabled.

@toutagamon well, he uses the latest. a program he uses (don't remember what) says it's using like 20% of the GPU. an update for the game is supposed to fix this, because it's something to do with the game not working with SLI and Crossfire.

Also, when catalyst AI is disabled, it's able to max out a core, but only one.

I am pretty sure that the game worked with crossfire all along. I had uploaded two videos with my 5850s, both in single and crossfire mode, prior to this one and crossfire worked fine.

Now, maybe for the 3870X2, they just haven't enabled it yet. It would be strange though. I thought that once a crossfire profile is made, it works in all crossfire configurations!

@toutagamon that's my point. if crossfire is turned off, it lets it utilize 1 entire core. but with crossfire on, for some reason, it only uses 20%, yet uses power from both cores. so it's an issue with crossfire compatibility with older cards like the 3870x2.

Ah yes I see. Then this is clearly a driver issue. Great job pin pointing the problem. ;)

Here is a suggestion. Make a backup of the original .exe and rename it to Crysis.exe, Bioshock.exe or other game executables. Crossfire may kick in that way! ;)

awesome game.. just wish it wasnt so buggy. video is great, just a side note for anyone reading, game is way more CPU dependant than GPU dependant. I had a 3850 on a dual core 2.2 ghz and it was almost unplayable.. upped too a quad core and similar video card and it was ace.

so yea, quad core is what you want for this game, a nice gfx card helps, but you'll see a bigger increase with a better CPU in this games case.

@bongjunky55 you should be able to run it on medium settings id think, if you can overclock your CPU to 3 ghz you'd have no problem for sure. in fact your graphics card is most likely being bottlenecked by your cpu so your not even getting the proformance you paid for

This is normal since most PS3 games run at 720P.

This runs at 1920X1080 and trust me the 3870 is much better than the 7900GT derivative the PS3 has inside! The same goes for XBOX 360 of course! ;)
