On 10/27/2009 a bill called the Financial Stability Improvement Act of 2009 was released in to the House Committee on Financial Services. Which essentially integrates the chairmen from the SEC, FDIC, OCC, NCUA, FHFA, CFTC, and the Fed into one supervisory board. Creating the Financial Services Oversight Council. If this act does pass, then it would probably be the most important peice of legislation within regards to the financial services industry in about 100 years.
The Federal Government needs to seriously cut back, I mean eliminate every Federal Agency not authorized by the Constitution, and repeal the income tax, and return to the gold/silver standard.

In attending a Town Hall meeting with Congressman Jim Marshall (D) Georgia (10/31/09) He made it CLEAR that he would not support HR 1207. He reason was that he said that the Federal Reserve has always been there for correcting monetary problems. It's plain to see that he has been a recipient of pork money and lobbyist have done a great job on him. I was AMAZED to find that VERY few even knew what HR 1207 was. He done VERY well in working the crowd to his corner and making me look foolish. :>)

I thank Ron Paul for fighting for the people and being one of the few people who still serve the Constitution. Today, the Fed is a criminal oligarchy supported by _most_ powerful members of the senate, congress, supreme court and all other governmental entities. This is why I fear they will suppress this in the end and pass their own lame version of the bill and call it quits, as they have already begun doing. The government has lost fear before the people, until that changes, nothing will.

On 10/27/2009 a bill called the Financial Stability Improvement Act of 2009 was released in to the House Committee on Financial Services. Which essentially integrates the chairmen from the SEC, FDIC, OCC, NCUA, FHFA, CFTC, and the Fed into one supervisory board. Creating the Financial Services Oversight Council. If this act does pass, then it would probably be the most important peice of legislation within regards to the financial services industry in about 100 years.
