  • AMJAD BETA APP KAY WALLID ORE CHAHA KO RAHTY DUNIA FARAMOSH NAHIN KR SAKTI MAQBOONL BAHI APP KOO RAB SE MULAQAT MUBARAK HOO ALLAH APP JANTUL FIRDOUS MAIN ALLA MUQAM DAY AMEEN HANIFADVOCATE

  • Ghareeb-o-sada-o-rangeen haey daastan-e-Haram

Nihayat iss ki Hussain (R.A.), Ibtada haey Ismail (A.S.)

  • Beyond compare!

  • shia or sunni... this can really make you emotional... by the way the concept is really beautiful.... ek do jam to alam ko abhi aur pila... really love this line

  • sellam, awesome song, anyone can take this very personally if they have the right mind-set and in-different judgement to things.. and we're all muslim, the 'shia-sunni' difference is a political one, not a religious one; we believe in the same Creator, Prophet and Book.. so please call yourself Muslim, not 'sunni' or 'shia' :) peace

  • @S2000XC i'm sorry S200XC.. i actually dun agree with one word of urs and that is SONG.. its not a song.. Its a Qawali..

and agreed with the second thought of yours.. and that is.. we shouldn't discriminate the casts and classes.. we all Muslims should live as ONE.. UNITED.. TOGETHER WE STAND.. TOGETHER WE ALL.. THIS IS ALL WHAT MUSLIMS ARE ABOUT.. :) :)

    Please dun mind it anyway..

    Regards,

  • @S2000XC wait, i dont undersdtand the meaning well... saqi aur pilaa? meaning the bar tender pour me a drink? and why are people going wah wah about it?

  • @apopkasss

yes thats what it means; he goes on to say give me the wine that Sarmad had when he beheaded himself (in the way of rightiousness) & the wine that Jesus (pbuh) had when he was to be crucified; & he mentions other Prophets & saints and their trials; finally says 'give me the wine that was drunk at karbala' (the sacrifise of Ali (ra) was the greatest to him .. & wah means 'wow' rougly in general slang but in ordu poetry and qawalli; its said when somethign deep and amazing is heard..

  • @S2000XC its still strange trying to link a good thing with alcohole.. and Prophet jesus was not beheaded according to Iskamic hostory, it was Judais Bin Askariot eyh? as for Kerbala, Mashallah the grandson and family of the phophet fought so well. we remember their bravery and lessons taught every muharram.

  • @apopkasss

    i didnt say he was beheaded.. he wants to get drunk on love for Allah (swt)m not alcohol - drinking wine/alcohol is a metaphor for having that empowering true feeling of faiith, belief and being a true momin and stranger to this world; where he doesnt care about anything but wanting that state of mind where he can sacrifise himself to the right path;

  • @S2000XC one thing to be corrected is that he didn't say the wine Jesus (A.S.) had when he was CRUCIFIED. rather he said "By resurrecting the dead with the will/permission of Allah (Bi iznillah)" we Muslims firmly believe that Jesus was not crucified and he is alive (Alhamdulillah), and he will come back on earth (insha Allah) as a ummati of Rasoolullah (sallallaho alaihi wa aalihi wasallam) and will fight dajjal (anti Christ) with imam Mehdi and will kill Dajjal himself.

  • fantastic inspired performance. I have loved the SB since I first a recording of them which was Allahoo.

  • ahlebait hamary hain sahaba hamary hain to jhagra kia hai we r muslims kiya ye kaafi nahi ?????

  • yar bahut ala,. out of all the views i probably have 200,000 lol

  • Yazeed made ten accounts and disliked this video :)

  • @wasimakram79 lol

  • I follow this magnificent group since 1980, they are so gifted that you feel God even if you believe to be an atheist. That is True Baraka pouring through them. And God Mercy is infinite, as it allows even infidels to receive His Grace through the sound of these wonderful worshippers of His Love. Nevertheless, it will be great to show some respect and abstain from some inappropriate comments.

  • Saqia Aur Pila

  • Whichever idiot said that about Ayesha, you're a fool mate. I'm not relegious in anyway but would never say that. Don't forget your wife, sister and mother are all ladies. Have some respect and don't show your friggin council estate, chav, common as muck mentality for others to laugh at. It's a shame idiots like you are brought up the way they are.

  • so cute (01:25/ 01:45) Mashallah veryy nice song

  • @TheAfgwoman lol

  • ........

  • dts should b

  • The comments here on Sunni-Shia unity and no rifts in between are truly heart-warming.

    Ya Hussain!

  • 9 dislikes = wahabis

  • @Ironikish wahhabis can go to hell, and they should leave us to our state

  • @Ironikish 10 dislikes= harami's hahaha

    dushmane ahl bait a.s + harami= waahabi

  • @MisssAries exactly :)

  • @Ironikish Lol wahabi is a coined term. Derp

  • peace : la illa illlillah!

  • I saw the Sabri Brothers perform years ago in Berkeley. It was a truly moving and beautiful experience that has always stayed with me. When the world seems so full of ugliness and violence, I remember things like this and I'm reminded of how much good there is in humanity.

  • 11 minutes of the most perfect qawalli you can ever hope to hear, just enjoy these two marvels...

  • beautiful

  • its a big insult to such grt singers like sabri bros, by discussing religion here .

  • I listen to this everyday w/o fail.

  • They were the greatest singing maestros of last century... they were the in fact the greatest vaggayekars ... a term for used for a singer who is not only good to listen to but also it is a sheer pleasure to watch him sing... no words can do justice to describe what they were ... and the most important quality of theirs which has gone unnoticed is, they were the humblest of celebrities I have ever known ...

  • @thievesofkarachi

i agree with u and one thing i must correct u on is that oen of bthe legendary brothers Maqbool ahmed sabri is stil very much performing through out the world n hes as amazing as ever! long live the sabri brothers!

  • @parisa786 Oh I am aware that Maqbool Ahmed is still performing.. but a few months ago I had learnt that he has health problems ... may allah give him good health & a avery very long & healthy life to continue to enthrall us...

  • If anyone wants a translation to this qawalli, go to the link in my profile.

  • @DeadmanInc786 thanks for the lyrics and the in-depth analysis!

  • One of their best and most enjoyable and memorable pieces of work. Extremely intelligent. Their talent was appreciated by millions of people. They will live on as legends, to be enjoyed by future generations.

To all the religious fanatics, a person's faith and beliefs are private, and should never be politicized, nationalized, or publicized. A person(s) art and talent are meant to be enjoyed and appreciated by the entire world. Leave the religious and national bigotry out of the public realm.

  • mashallah,

  • AhmedM85, I saw Hindus praise Imam Hussain (A.S.) and commemorate the events at Karbala. Figure that out. Now Why do you think they still adhere to HInduism. What religion or sect one follows is a matter of adhering to certain faith based principles that either differ or variate from that of another faith. So why someone relates oneself to any particular sect must surely have to deal with more than just admiration for the Imam.

  • excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woh woh woh

    thanks for this track.

    Just wonderfull.

  • CLASSIC.

  • hello buddy... can you please upload "aaye hain woh mazar pe"... i am looking for it from past 4 years but not able to find on the internet

  • I don't understand why people think they're Shi'as just because they praise Imam Hussain and commemorate the events at Karbala. Imam Hussain is an important figure for Sunni Muslims too and as a Sunni Muslim myself, I profess that I love Imam Hussain from the bottom of my heart as well as all the Sahabas and the family of the Prophet (saw). Besides, why does it matter if they're Sunni or Shi'a, they're praising Allah, and that is the most beautiful act.

  • it matters big time cause Shia hate hazrat omer and say they are one to blame for everything ...

  • u r right and it is in ur benifit to have respect for Imam Hussain aliaslam because he is on of the leader in paradise as per our Holy prophet. Also both of sect (shia and sunaa)should respect sahaba but sahaba not those who done wrong to the family member of our beloved prophet.Remember! if some one love some one then he must hate his or enemy other wise that type of love or respect is hypocracy(monafqaat).Brother if some one is like what described in sora ahzab aya no.57 58,then he or she

  • not respectable rather we are forced to send lahnet by Allah Almighty. As per ur schalers narationssome known so called sahaba done very bad to family of Hazart Mohaamed (swas). Please think and read those. We should not follow the propagation rather follow the truth and facts.some one can cheat each other but not to Allah.

    Thanks

  • @AhmedM85 PPl are not shia because they love Imam Hussain, they are Shias bcoz they hate the Sahaba and all the Khalifa's except Hazrat Ali and bcoz they hate Hazrat Ayesah (RA).

  • @saksak79 u are sunni ... i am shia .... we are both united wen love imam hussien a.s .... and what u say has to be corrected simply because we only love those who Allah and hes rasool loves and he dislike those who hurt Allah and hes Rasool (SAW)

  • @786sheerali

    =) super answer!

    Haq Hussain (as)!

  • @Sweet90Fairy thanks u very much :)

  • @AhmedM85 very true!!

  • @AhmedM85 - So you are also effeceted by the Wahabis.

  • @AhmedM85 ..dude have you eva in u lyf seen a Shia's pryr nd ablution..have u eva heard dair Kalma!Have u eva tried to explre dem(der Sec)????

it seems to b u havent.... go c dem!

  • @AhmedM85 i agree with you fully, and am glad that you are one of the few people who understand this fact. However, one criticism of the Sabri Bros is that the musical instruments they use are not considered lawful by many scholars. I have heard that drums are okay and the reference to that is Bukhari Volume 4 Book 56 and Hadith 730 and also Bukhari Volume 2, Book 15, Number 70

  • Ignorance is truly a God given gift. What difference does it make what their religion or personal beliefs are!!!!???? I just praise this band for the unbelievable music they have produced, their musicianship, fantastic arrangements ..... and so on. Does it truly make them better musicians or human beings if they are Shias or sunnis? Their music is in praise of GOD and there is only one God.

    Get educated for heavens sake!

  • @AbhayAmir - The whole qawalli is about Imam Hussain and y ou are telling us that it is about God.

Yes they are asking to give the same strength like Imam Hussain to get all our troubles that come in our daily life.

Open your eyes. Either you are for the right because you are saying that right is also yours and wrong is also accepted.

Sunni's are the most brain drained people because they don't think before they write.

  • @AbhayAmir i agree with you fully, and am glad that you are one of the few people who understand this fact. However, one criticism of the Sabri Bros is that the musical instruments they use are not considered lawful by many scholars. I have heard that drums are okay and the reference to that is Bukhari Volume 4 Book 56 and Hadith 730

  • @AbhayAmir and also Bukhari Volume 2, Book 15, Number 70

  • why do u say we have lost them...sabri brothers still exsisit..only one brother passed away :"( but the other legendary brother Maqbool Ahmed sabri still singsssss and hes voice is as amazing as ever mashallah ..and yes they are not shias...they are sunn sufis!

  • Hey guys I attended Sabri brothers c0ncert in Russia recently, stil as best as ever!the group is lead by da magical Haji Maqbool ahmed sabri.i shall upload dat Russian tour video soon! Long live the legend!

  • Amazing, simply the best, this is the kind of Islam that is true , open , liberal and secular , celebrates humanity in its truest form

  • Are the Sabri Brothers Ismaili or Shi'a (12er)?

  • Well, Ismailis ARE Shi'is, but Seveners rather than Twelvers. I've never heard that the Sabris were anything but Sunni Sufis.

  • Ya, that's why i specified the kind of Shi'a they were, (12ers).

    Never heard of Shi'a Sufis.

  • The Ni'matullahiyya and some other orders in Iran are Shi'i. The Bektashiyya in Turkey are originally Shi'i.

  • No way! Interesting.

    Are those two both 12ers?

And what do you mean 'originally' Shi'i?

  • @Varietify Astagferullah. May Allah guide you. How can anyone swear to the companions of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) when there are authentic hadith like"Jibril came to me, took me by the hand, and showed me the gate through which my Community shall enter Paradise." Abu Bakr said: "Would that I were with you to see it!" The Prophet said: "Did you not know? You will be the first of all my Community to enter it." and "Take for your leaders those who come after me: Abu Bakr and `Umar." and

  • @Varietify`Amr ibn al-`As asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who is the most beloved of all men to you?" He replied: "Abu Bakr." and"O`Ali! Abu Bakr and `Umar are the leaders of the mature inhabitants of Paradise and its youth among the first and the last, except for Prophets and Messengers." and there are many many more hadiths. and you swear to the wife of the Prophet? how can you? it is not for you to judge, Allah is the best of judges. ask forgiveness off Allah. i just pray u b guided. ameen....

  • Superub........!

  • Are they comparing becoming a muslim martyr to "drinking" in the spiritual sense?

  • Drinking/having the love of Imam Hussain (as)

  • Yea but they said the sharab from karbalah and they describe Imam Hussein(as)'s suffering. So I'm guessing they're talking about the extacy of martyrdom being like the extacy of spiritual drinking.

  • That's exaclty what it is lol.

    Amazing qawwali..

Yeh shimr bola kafan tak na daala jaaye ga..

Hussain bolay kay jannat say johra aaye ga..

    wah..

  • Salam

....Tht's exactly my fav part too... MashALLAH....

Hamare Imam Hussain(as) ke liye Jannat se hi jorrey ate the.... yeh aur isseunchii unki Shaan hai.....

    this qawalii kills... SubhanALLAH!

    Thank you for sharing....

  • sharab is a metaphor for divine love. saqia being god the bartender, serving drinks of his love. the poet's saying that there has been no greater expression of love for god than at karbalah where hussein sacrificed himself and 71 of his followers under the influence of 'josh-e-ulfat' i.e the force of (divine) love.

  • But that sacrifice was shahadat or islamic martyrdom. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It is what it is.

  • Pure genius

  • i love this song

  • ahh...mujhe ek sharabi bana diya...may i get drunk on sharabe Ishk..(wine of love n madness fron the Divine..)... Sabri Bros forever!!!

  • can someone explain to me what is qiwwali?

  • Qawwali is a form of Sufi devotional music popular on the Indian subcontinent. It's a vibrant musical tradition that stretches back more than 700 years. Originally performed mainly at Sunni Sufi shrines throughout the subcontinent, it has also gained mainstream popularity.

Often listeners, and even artists themselves, are transported to a state of wajad, a trance-like state where they feel at one with God, generally considered to be the height of spiritual ecstasy in Sufism.

  • You can listen Sabri Brothers and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on Youtube.

  • The Qawwali was invented by the beloved of Allah(SWT) Hadrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti(RA) who spread Islam in Hindustan. Who are we to question something that has been invented by a great Awliya who is much closer to Allah than any of us.

  • Bah Bah!!!

  • PLEASE HELP

I've been looking for a song I had about 8 years ago on cassette which was (possibly?)an indian version of this qawaali but was sung like a ghazal. The lyrics are "Saqia aur pila aur pila aur pila.Mere saqi mujhe tanha tu choR ro lu mein, jaam ashkon ka aaj tu bhar bhar ke pila"

I have been looking for this song for 8 years and can't find it anywhere on the net or in any store in the UK or Lahore and elsewhere in Pakistan.

Please reply to this post if you know who it is sung by.

  • the indians did a version ill get the name of the cassette for you. i may even have it somewhere..ill keep u updated.

  • Thanks for your help. I hope you find it for me.

  • I love and enjoy hearing NFAK, but I recognize Sabri bros as closer to traditional, 'true' Qawwals.

  • from albania...this is great!!

  • i agree with you mas, nfak was indeed a very talented artist and he deserved all the respect he got, i wasn't too keen on his entering bollywood. I suppose all the qawwals are unique in what they do.

  • I wonder could nusrat fateh ali khan sing somethintg as beautiful as this. The Sabri's were the best.

  • well i think that the late NFAK could sing as best as Sabri or even better then Sabri's but i do believe that Sabri's were Sabri's and NFAK was NFAK u cannot compare them they both were including Aziz Mian unique and uncompareable.

  • One small criticism if I have of NFAK is that he sold his voice and I personally felt that alot of the respect that I had for him disappeared. Don't get me wrong, he was wonderful with his qawali's etc but, as my dad said to me NFAK was jack of all trades and Sabri Bros were masters at what they did...

  • YA HUSSAIN!

  • Mash Allah , Allah hiem aik acha muslaman banae Aaamin
