  • Whoever made this video is an idiot. Northwest was an amazing airline... by the looks of the likes and dislikes I believe that says it all !!!

  • @NewWorldAhead Well it was prolly some DELTA Corp pig that made this video. DELTA and its management are no better than the NWA management. Still greedy and all about the bonuses and money for managers. I hope Southwest destroys you in ATL! A competitor is now coming into your fortress who will run your profits dry! Wait till WN comes to JFK one day! You will no longer be the King of your little Hill! I wanna see the RIP Delta video in my lifetime! lol

  • I miss NWA. The New Delta colors suck balls.

  • Is that Denver Airport at 6:10?

  • New name for them DelWorst..lol

  • theres too many words to this song, I;d never remember them.........NWA adios

  • lol, I looked at a list of airlines and nwa was way at the bottom. (that's BAD lol) But I like Delta. I think it's better.... delta is somewhere at the top of the list.

  • haahaha awesome!

  • Great Wesly Willis song, NORTHWEST AIRLINES

  • Great song who sing this. Rock over London rock over Chicago American Airlines we mean business in Chicago.

  • For a trunk carrier, the age of NWA's DC-9s is NUTS. 30+ years in service for a major carrier is ridiculous.

  • Ugh delta is like awesome!

But still will miss northwest and the good times on it :(

and if you like thumbs down my just cause i said delta is awesome

you guys cant take an opinion..

anyways gonna miss ya northwest :(!!

  • DELTA ROCKS!!!!

  • NWA was a mess 2 years ago, wehad one NWA plsne, they said anyone wieghing over certian weight had to get of, and the pilot seemed drunk, pll were geting sick in the plane, and were freaking out, worst flight ever, fuck northwest

  • It's sad but true, NWA has ABUSED its power for many years. A lot of travellers here in Minnesota are saying "good riddance" to fare gouging and crappy service. Reading another post below, anyone else know how the old Northwest Orient was? I have heard they were excellent, while others say they were just as bad as today.

  • Unfortunately my experience with Northwest wasn't a positive one. The old Northwest Orient was the worst. Cheap, crappy and arrogant. Many flight attendants were homely bitches. Headquarters and recruiters were a huge disappointment as were their terminal facilities and planes. Republic employees brought Northwest up in terms of service. Too bad new management screwed everybody. Good luck in the merger! Delta rocks!

  • I was employed by Northwest in the reservations division for 23 years. My posting were in CHI, LAX, TPA, and DTT. I left the company after the DTT office was closed and the property was sold. I am now in religious life. Each day was far from perfect, but I will say that I had more good days that difficult ones. Over the years I made friends at each location and some of them are the closest friends I have. I wish everyone at NW and DL all the best in this new venture.

  • hey you and me both hate NWA want to be freinds

  • I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, so I was kind of unset when I learned of the merger, but I feel better now after Delta assured us that we would stay a hub. We even have new international routes! NWA was really starting to show signs of their budget crunch, so hopefully this will be better for everyone.

  • I'm glad Delta took over.

  • what waz the first song called and werecan i get it

  • Checchi and Wilson totally screwed NWA, its employees, its passengers---and the entire state of Minnesota. Why those bastards aren't in jail is beyond me.

  • Does NWA food taste good i herd from some peeps that there food taste like bull shit?

  • If the Flight is catered in Houston, Newark, Cleveland Honolulu, Denver, or Los Angeles The food is is prepared by the best airline in the Skyteam network Continental.

  • no fuck red tail shit go delta

  • I loved how you only showed the nwa domestic industry, But lets compare the NWA International Industry to the Delta International industry. NWA serves more international flights than any other American airline, yet delta, doesnt serve half as many daily international flights as NWA. NWA is an overall better airline for many reasons. My favorites, on time percentage, aircraft in fleet, destinations, aircraft seats, food services, hub airports, and many more.

  • More international flights? How do you figure? To Asia, sure, but there is no contest across the Atlantic.

Food service? What food service? The fruit basket in first class? Aircraft seats? Yeah, those AVOD seats are pretty bad that DL offers. Hubs? DTW is a real winner!

I am sure that UA will be willing to offer the crappy service you are used to.

  • The coach seats are the best, but thats why they're coach seats, The bussiness class seats are amazing, i dont know if youve ever been in an NWA 747-400, but the seats are incredibly. The food was fantastic for an airplane, went to sleep with every drink i could possibly want, and good steak, roll, and vegetables for dinner, and woke up to eggs, cereal, yogurt, and strawberrys. It was fantastic service. The only delta flight ive ever been on was cancelled because the plane couldnt be found

  • Asian routes are about the only thing that gives NWA any value. They have kind of been forced to have the service you speak of. That service is nowhere to be found on any domestic flight.

  • I think your deffinantly right there. I think NWA has the mentality that their Domestic business will never be the top, so theyve claimed the Asian service, and they also have excellent European service. Ive never had any problems with their domestic service, but i know people have.

  • Actually, It's the other way around. Fuck the Red Tail and Minneapolis!! Kick Ass Delta!!! LONG LIVE DELTA!!!

  • that voice sounds like samaul jackson

  • Hmmmm, yeah those lovely labor unions at NWA never caused one second of trouble huh? Combine that with greedy management and you have a very nice combination.

  • two thing that apail to me ,

\1 i work for the new delta in detroit 2 i love wesely willis

  • I've been a loyal NWA customer for years, partly due to my location in the midwest. I have also flown DAL in the past. Personally, I could care less if I get a bag of peanuts on the ride or not as long as I get there in one piece...and the 'ol 9s haven't failed me yet. DAL is fine, but for me, it's usually a trip 1:30 the wrong way to go the right way (as opposed to the short hop to MSP for me). Whatever the outcome, I wish the employees of both airlines nothing but the best for the future.

  • I agree with you, because i now want to regret a flight that i took to DFW with NWA.Hardly anything to eat or do during the flight,so i like Delta and i'll be flying Delta this summer & hope to enjoy the flight!

  • Will NW flight attendants choose to be non-union when they see how Delta treats them? I mean, pay and benefits are higher at Delta...

  • They better if they want to keep their jobs.

  • At Houston Intercontinental Airport Northwest customer service at the airport went way down after Northwest took back their ticket counter from Continental.

  • This happened due to Union rules.

  • Rich Anderson is a faggot! SCREW HIS A**!

  • Write to your congressmen and tell them to OPPOSE this barbaric merge that will result in higher fares, JOBS LOST and people on the unemployment lines. Do not sponsor monopoly!! Stand against a wave of mergers that would result as a consequence of this delta-northwest merge. Speak up! Send emails and letter to the Dept. of Justice, Transportation and Congressmen!!

  • I didn't know NWA was shutting down! I liked that Airline!

  • it is welcome to delta airlines

  • oh so they're just closing it down so it can merge with Delta?

  • As pathetic and arrogant as Northwest management was, I still loved the airline and was very proud to work there. I'm grateful for the opportunities they gave me and will be very sad to see the Northwest name go away. To my many friends who still work there and do their best everyday to show Northwest pride and professionalism, in spite of being treated so poorly by management, I wish you the best!

  • Delta...and Northwest...want to compete and survive in this industry...it is not just good-by Northwest...both airlines will have to change to become a new, and hopefully a dynamite "premier" airline. Northwest brings a legacy to the table, and so does Delta.

  • It is true that Northwest brings legacy to the table, A Tarnished Legacy. I think Northwest was the embarrassment of the Skyteam alliance.

  • Not being a jerk but i like northwest and i bet i could find some of deltas faults if i wanted to. And i think its great that the two airlines merged

  • I worked for Northwest Airlines for quite a few years. One of NWA's biggest problems is a corrupt money stealing union known as The IAMAW (Idiots and Moneygrabbers Are Waffeling) International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. I only hope and pray the decent hard working folks at Delta see through the scam.

  • I wonder if all of the NorthWorst Ramp agents are going to be offered a job with ATS now that Delta is starting to contract out their ramp to outside vendors. DGS lost the contract in Houston, and Dallas. I think they start at $7-$8 per hour. Good luck.

I wonder how the IAM is going save the agents jobs.

  • TWA going away was a bigger deal than Northwest going away, cya northwest

  • TOOT TOOT TOOTSIE GOOD-BYE!

  • wow that didn't sound good

  • by the way they are still in business

  • I guess oldest = best through your logic.

  • you can obviously say delta is the best airline! look at southwest airlines. thier planes are on time 80.4 percent of the time campared to delta 76.9 percent. the flight attendnce on southwest treat you nice compared to delta were they treat u not liek they shude. you get to choose your own seat on southwest and southwest in my oppinon is the great american airline.you want to know why? they dont have any international flights!, only in codeshare with ata they have international. so whats better

  • The only code share agreement that Southwest has with ATA is for Hawaii.

Having "been there and done that" with both Southwest and Delta (and NW, AA, UA), there is no comparison between Delta and the rest. For those who disagree with that either 1) don't want to or 2) look to find the negative in everything except for who they call their favorite.

You get to pick your own seat on Delta as well. The difference is that you get to do it when you buy your ticket.

  • yeah, government can just say "NO" and it wouldnt after that

  • What songs are played in this video's?

  • So did Northwest retire or something or do they still fly?

  • They still fly but may be getting brought out by DAL.
