Nice but some limitations imposed on guitar player (as compared with piano player) are giving instrument it's vocabulary. If you wanna sound like piano - play piano. And if you want to do Hendrix like riffs then practice. Not every pedal makes sense - although this one may be a nice tool for soloist - as a one shot simplified looper like tool. I wonder if it would work with acoustic guitar.

The electric guitar has infinite applications.It's as much a computer input as an acoustic guitar.

If you don't like this pedal, that's cool. But don't tell others they should or should not use it. We've all got our own creative interests. Inventive people can do incredible things with these kind of pedals. We aren't all trying to use the guitar as a guitar. Some people have more fun programming sounds than they do noodling notes. Some people don't even use this pedal with guitar.

If I play a note or chord, push and hold the button on this pedal, and then turn down the volume on my guitar...can I still hear the note I played?

@LMilleniumT yes, it holds the sound that was being played the instent it was pressed, you could keep it held and plug in a whole different guitar or whatever. The guy playing in the video was just playing the chord notes on top. It sounds great when you do arpeggios on top of chords. It great for psychedelic applications. For instance: playing a chord, then playing the chord of the flat 7th or Sus.

freeze is just like a preset i programmed 10 years ago on my old boss gx700 effects processor. when you press a button it samples the sound you're playing and delays it to give a sustain effect. trick is to fade in at the start of the sample to avoid glitching. nothing new except the pedal format. and it quickly becomes boring once you outplay it. you can also do the same effect using an a-b splitter pedal, then volume pedal and delay pedal.
