Oh, and have you guys heard of that thing that passed in one of the hick states, I don't know which one (maybe Florida or Arkansas or something) where it has become illegal for gay and lesbian couples to adopt children. This burns me up like you can't imagine. There are hundreds of thousands of children without loving families, and now there are even fewer families who are allowed to help them because of hateful, prejudicial, unfounded, baseless religious dogma.
The fact that religion is capable of taking away one of my most basic rights as an American absolutely infuriates me. The constitution not only says that we may have freedom OF religion, it also states that we can have freedom FROM religion.
And besides, who do these religious people think they are? They don't OWN marriage!!! Marriage wasn't invented by Christians. In fact, marriage as a ritual predates Christianity by over a thousand years. It was a ritual of the very first Pagans.
