It is just the way it is. Cultural differences. We bow and we fist. May not be as sacred as bowing but fisting is a sign of buddy system as well. So, overall, I felt warmth. His Holiness is not bias so it is truly a remarkable meeting. I see.

I view this as a wonderful meeting of a gentle, perpetually interested and curious man discovering a new way to greet people. His Holiness the Dalai Lama has always been the most personable of all religious leaders, and it is that very attitude that has ensconced him in hearts the world over.

Wow. What a bunch of narrowminded shallow individuals. If you read about the Dalai Lama, you'd know protocol is embarrasing to him. He sees himself as a simple man. And did you bother listening to what Myron said? Wharton stood by like a decoration. Which is pretty much what he is. Nice fellow, but what has he done?
