  • I can only imagine how much time and money it took to recreate these scenes.

  • "Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours... You the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears. Your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well." Kemal Ataturk

  • they landed on the 25th of april and walking towards their grave. their bodies went back in bodybags without their heads

  • in this battle most Turks are not killed by enemy, but they died from sickness and starving..

  • @giraytr o dogru degildir arkadas. en cok sehidimizi asker askere carpisarak verdik. ikinci en buyuk kayib ise dusman gemilerinin atesi sonucunda gerceklesti.

  • A sad event for all the nations participated, for all the humanity. After reading the comments, I felt disgusted, nearly 500000 man died there and people still try to brag about the numbers. What are you people up to? Behave racist, boast over killings in the past while you sit on your comfy chair sipping your coffee? If you really think like that, sorry, but you should have died there, not those innocent people.

  • It really disgusts me that the Turks, even to this day laugh about this campaign, we lost this battle, but (somehow) the Turks lost more men ( I know, it confuses me how this happened). However, Britain and her allies won the war and your petty "empire" fell to ruin. BTW it was your own fault for siding with the Germans and Austro-Hungarians...

  • @LewisFawley

It disgusts me that you haven't even read history and WHO was responsible for extending much of the Ottoman Empire's longetivity in the 18'th century. You see Great Britain allied itself with the Ottomans when those were fighting Russia. Now these were the same Ottomans the Austrians had been under seige by in 1683 (and who were saved by the Polish cavalry).

Your empire fell to ruin too pommie and thanks to that a lot of countries got their independence from you.

  • @LewisFawley do you know 100.000 Turkish soldier in that battle were under 18 age._? idiot ...

  • @LewisFawley

Actually it was Winston Churchill's fault. If he had not (as First Lord of the Admiralty) seized a newly completed Turkish battleship from the British yard that had built her, Turkey would most likely have remained neutral.

After Turkey declared war, it was Churchill who dreamed up the whole Gallipoli operation.

  • @LambdaZetaTeke well that was only one battle.

  • single turks winned anzacs brittishs frenchs afrikans greeks and others... they r not a man..7-8 country and single turks...turks are really perfect..

  • @ilivinghell The fuck you on about?

  • billy sing ......... owened gallipoli

  • ohhhh yeah the great anzac good soldiers oohh :O thats true they lost xD fk u english idiots whahaha yeah you guys came with very big ships and than :( the goad back :( :( srry for distroying your ships it was a nice fight EVEN IF YOU DIDENT WIN xD

  • @2southdragon I know that refugee Turkish piece of filth are never going to be too well educated, but I would have thought that you might know a little about the history of the backward Third World shithole you crawled from.

The Allies did lose at Gallipoli, but they still won the war.

Istanbul was occupied by the British, while the peasant sandniggers of the Ottoman Empire had to watch in impotent fury as the British disposed of your "empire" like a father carving up the Christmas Turkey.

  • @PresidentZod

    Hear, hear.

  • @2southdragon Fucking kid can't spell or think, go kill yourself.

  • Jesus. Nice to see times change yet they remain the same. Kind of like here in the US. You ask certain parts of the states about the war. Some still think the Civil War. Smgh

  • FUCK ALL THE BRITISH THEY WANT WAR AND THEY GET THE WAR

FUCKIN BRITISH FAGGOT SOLDIERS DIE AND DIE HARDER

    THE TURKS GET VICTORY

AND SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THE BRITISH ARE THE BEST THE BRITISH ARE JUST IDIOTS

  • @OttomanSlapX Tell that to the Armenians, the wonderful deserved to be nuked

  • @OttomanSlapX and what about the Greek and Assyrian genocide oh and the kurds are they all telling tales as well

  • This was Churchil's fault!

  • @NiceHeadMr You can't blame just one guy, the generals in the operation also made some bad mistakes during the operation.

  • FUCKING TURKS

  • @ANZACS100

Why? Because the Turks had defended their homeland? Who has attacked whom?

You must read history and friendship aboute the two countries after this war. The British have you sent in a war of the war was not yours.

  • @Cangoez01 There is no friendship between Britain and Turkey, we do not like you , nobody does and you deserved to be nuked for what you did in the first world war. (3 genocides)

  • @1middlesbrough go eat some blood sausage you agressive fuck.

  • @rebelpy you spell aggresive with 2 gs , so go and get educated you illiterate ****

  • @1middlesbrough not my language so i dont fucking care. stop wasting your life.

  • @rebelpy what ever bye

  • @ANZACS100Those heroes who shed their blood and lost their lives, you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. therefore rest in peace. there is no difference between the johnnies and the mehemets to us where they lie side by side in this country of ours.

you, the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears, your sons are now lying in our bosoms and are in peace. after having lost their lives on this land they become our sons as well.

    Kemal ATATURK

  • @ANZACS100 If you knew anything about the Anzacs, you would know that they formed a respect for their enemy, as did the Turks. They killed each other, but they would call armistices in between the battles to bury their dead, and they would throw gifts to each other during the breaks in fighting.

  • @ANZACS100

I FUCK YOUR MOTHER YOU FUCKIN ASSHOLE

I HOPE YOUR GRANDFATHER DIED IN THIS WAR

  • @Husbeyin no he didnt but he killed alot of turks

  • @ANZACS100 you would be fucked from the turks ... you son of a bitch

  • @19ramses07 English please.

  • @ozzyguy67 senin ecdadinin anasini türkler sikti! is this english enough?

  • @19ramses07 Wow you can't even spell your own language, you are a very big fail.

  • @ozzyguy67 you are a blithering idiot!

english isn' t my native language. i think it wouldn' t be a problem for you, to understand what i mean.

by the way, i spell my mother language exactly, without fails. you can not appraise it!

  • @19ramses07 You fail, I win.

  • i dont believe we ,Turks fighting to get high level position in the heaven which is ridiculuous : any war would not related to any religion....our land is our honour so we r willing to let our blood flow for our country....

  • I hope the British emperial terrorists have learned their lessons well

    => DON'T MESS WITH TURKS !

  • we turks fighting for det to join allah :) is our homeland but anyway we respect all so yours is ok war over peace is better:)

  • Hey,...AttackLvl3 and Aussieguy67, if you to morons are presenting yourselves here as typical Australians with your comments, then I am utterly ashamed and embarrased to be called an Aussie. The both of you need to get yourselves an education or at least do a little reading on the subject before you open your mouths and show the world just how bloody ignorant and 'hill billy' like you are. The Anzacs didnt fight over religion, they went out of misplaced loyalty to those who thought of as fodder.

  • Hello Australians, you are our friends. We Turks love you. But, please don't mess with us. Mess yourself with Germany without Mesut Özil!

  • @abbeydiva102 I think so, but WWI empires often promised their colonies freedom, rights, etc for troops and/or resources

  • I think this was worse than omaha

  • Australia had no right to fight in world war 1, nor did other countries. The only reason we fought in WW1 was we were so tied to the British that we were inclined to send troops that the English didn't have.

  • The Australians were never defeated by the Turkish. They were defeated by their own High Command.

  • @Jesse4Jezza hahaha . You actually beleive your nonsense ? Autrallians came here to fight with us I don't care their reason or why they joined this war. And We won we defended our motherlands we won a clear victory. Don't try to find sheath your defeat. Türks always good warriors. We know what a war means we lived it so many time in our cult and history. Experiences of Türk army and Australlian army are incomparable. So be noble and honest. And respect us like we do for Australlians every year.

  • @tranCe59 In my last reply I was inferring that the Brittish thought of the aussies as nothing but fodder - in other words they considered us expendable - at least the Bittish High Command did. Yes, Gallipoli was a victory for you Turks - as the Anzacs did retreat after about 9 months. However, in defending your lands your losses were far greater than ours. You had more artillery, more men, better position, more esperience, AND YET the Anzacs still managed to kill more of you, than you of us!!!

  • @spearhead334 İf the subject is our homelands , all of other things losses , wounds they just details. And we don't care details. in a honourable battle we are ready to everything and everytime. We are ready to loose our families and friends. Keep in mind every Türk born soldier and ready to sacrifice own life for nation and country .We conqured this lands with blood .

  • @Jesse4Jezza

the war wasnt between Australian and Turks ..it was beween Turks and Australian-British-Indian-French - French colonies so on..... war.. dont get it on only urself

  • @Jesse4Jezza

i suggest you to read more history mate... And from good sources..

  • pawns of the game.

  • Things haven't gone so great for some of the cast since this mini-series was first aired back in 1985. Actor Tony Bonner who played Captain Armstrong went public in the 1990s about his long-term struggle with alcoholism. Actor Jon Blake who played Flanagan suffered permanent brain-damage after a car accident in 1986 just after completing work on the film 'The Lighthorseman'. And actress Megan Williams, who played Nurse Kate, sadly died of breast cancer in 2000, aged 43.

  • this doesnt really look like they are doing justice to the actal men and that beach landing, i mean does any1 else not see that tjis looks like men going 4 a run on the beach, swallowing a fly and then overeacting

  • @kevslf1 Agreed. This beach looks nothing like the rugged high cliffs at Gallipoli. I always thought that the Gallipoli episode was the least convincing of the series. The show's depictions of fighting on the Western Front were more successful.

  • "Slip up and tell the turks its a mistake"

    LOL!

    Paul Hogan pwns!

  • I'm proud of the anzacs for what they did in the first and second world wars. I'm a canadian and I realize the pressure the colonials were under to live up to mother England's demands and I think we did pretty well for them.

  • LOL 2:29 Croc Dundee????? hahahaha

  • Attacklvl3: fuck u ok don't say stuff about allah u prick I'll fucking break ur legs u peice of shit!!!!

  • @cranberry280FUCK ALLAH FUCK ALLAH FUCK ALLAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @TurkiyeMilliyetci What language is that you speak? I am Swedish and I can understand you, Norwegian? As for Mastafa Kemel Ataturk, I understand why you admire him and his willingness to die for his country. But do you really think it is moral for a commander to literally order his soldiers to die?

  • @Mrydberg87 Lmao, cant swedes differ norwegian from danish? It is obviously danish.

  • @Mrydberg87 yes

  • the acting in this makes it seem like a comedy, 'oh no i think we're on the wrong beach'

  • this was winston churchill's fault.

  • @Vectoreenio the strategic aim was Lord Churchill's doing but to blame him for the many tactical errors made isnt fair or realistic

  • I dream? I see them here, in Germany. I see, how they yelp, when we send them home;-)))

  • @AZeRBaIJaNIeR

    Turks are our German slaves...

  • @StempiHeszla Halte Dein Mund Du Deutscher halb muschi ich Ficke jetzt eueren blondinen hahahahaah scheiss deutscher

  • HAPPY IS THE ONE WHO SAYS I AM A TURK!!!

  • Turkic/Altaic/Mongol conquests of 13th century: China, India, Anatolian Peninsula, Russia, Islamic Empire of Arabia and Kworezem, Poland, Hungary, Eastern Europe. All very established and powerful civilizations.

Anglo Conquests: Some native Americans in North America with no technology or modern weaponry, some Africans with no written history or even bow and arrows, some primitive aboriginal tribes in Australia and New Zealand. LOL LOL

  • @Cengiz78x I live in Australia (most urban country on Earth) and I can say that I live 10x better then you turk scum.

  • @ozzyguy67

Yes, the most urban shithole covered with deserts and infested with kangaroos and people playing with boomerangs . Must be more urban than New York even ROFL

  • @Cengiz78x Ahh your thinking of the 1700's today is 2010, why is it still the 1700's in turkey? :)

  • @ozzyguy67

Hey kangaroo fucker aborigine cannibal scum. I live in Istanbul, the most metropolitan city you could ever see. I am sure the number of the cars in Istanbul alone is greater than the number of cars in the whole austalia, the cannibal desert land. Now go play with your boomerang LOL

  • @Cengiz78x Hit a nerve did I? It's ok we all understand turkey in still in the 1700's. Poor turkey :(

  • @ozzyguy67

Dear aussie faggot, the sand nigger from God-forsaken oz, the land of sand dunes,

I am sorry for your granddad who was slaughtered like a pig by the Turkish machine gun fire. But get over it....go play with your boomerang or chase a kangaroo or something I don't know LOL

  • @ozzyguy67

Actually I respect all soldiers including our former enemies ANZACS but since most aussies trolling here happen to be faggots, they do not deserve respect.

  • @Cengiz78x the only fag is you

  • wow horrible accting much...

  • dint they screm "bannzaai" when they charged?

  • @happygamestvfun1 Why would Australian Soldiers in WW1 scream a Japanese WW2 battle cry? Idiot.

  • @gnarkillkicksass I nkow ww2 was a tone better! ww1 was childs play

  • @happygamestvfun1 Your nothing but a pathetic little american dickhead, why dont you go kill youself.

  • Hey, i remember this. Can you get it DVD in the UK?

  • We went to Gallipoli in 2005. We will never forget it. Up to then, ANZAC Day services were sad; after going to Gallipoli, they were heart-breaking. What our people went through in a badly planned campaign still stuns us. Turkish histories talk about their amazement at how the ANZACs were ordered to charge against well-protected troops and guns. Haven't seen the series (in New Zealand) but will look for it.

  • /watch?v=G-gmv17urnk for the full ep

  • There are many myths about the Gallipoli Campaign particularly that it was a predominantly ANZAC affair. The British contributed 468,000 with 33.512 killed. 7,636 missing and 78,000 wounded. The French were next most numerous in total numbers and in casualties. The ANZACS lost 8,000 men with a further 18,000 wounded. Must be said that most ANZACS were first generation Aussies and Kiwis and not the stereotypical sheep shearer sort portrayed these days.

  • they should have this on as wellas kakoda , gallipoli and beneath hill 60 on every anzac day anyone agree

  • needed CLEARY to say.......thats not a rifle.......now thats a rifle :D

  • First of all i think New Zealanders should stop crying on Australian videos and make there own then. So sick of every video they winge about we did this and that blah blah blah ,it was a joint operation you ignorant fucks! Now the funny thing in this video is they land in daylight on the beach fighting. That didnt happen at all the ANZACS landed west of the coast at 4:00am with no fighting but a huge hill side. The fighting started after but this is more like the British landing ,south

  • everyone forgets that New Zealand had the heaviest casualties (proportional) in WW1 compared to our population

  • Greeting to grandsons of hero Anzacs

  • I looked up my grandfathers old journals and papers and realize I have made a major screw up in implying that discipline was lacking in the ranks, someone pointed out the poor discipline was confined to times when the ANZACS were not actively engaged in battle and he is 100% correct My sincere apologies to all

  • Thiis is a forum between two great nations who killed and loved each other. So keep away all the other minor nations. Want to discuss armenian and other problems GO TO other forums!

  • May the heroes of ANZACS and Turks live in eternity on turkish soil.

Bravest and the most gentlemensoldiers of WW1 ,ANZACS! Turks pray for your ancestors.

  • My grandfather was also in the british yeomanry and saw action at gallipoli.

  • this is about the anzacs, not turks vs armenians

  • R.I.P ANZACS

  • Those heroes who shed their blood and lost their lives, you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. therefore rest in peace. there is no difference between the johnnies and the mehemets to us where they lie side by side in this country of ours.

you, the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears, your sons are now lying in our bosoms and are in peace. after having lost their lives on this land they become our sons as well.

    Kemal ATATURK

  • @theturkzeus God bless you Sir, I wish there were more like you on you tube. My grandfather was in the Staffordshire Yeomanry (22 Mounted Brigade) and saw action at all 3 battles of Gazza, also Beersheba the relief of Kut & the Hills of Judea he said many years ago before he died that he had the greatest respect for the Turkish soldiers who he who he said were more brave and honourable than the the British general staff officers

  • @theturkzeus Thank you.

  • @theturkzeus "you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country"

What bullshit; it wasn't very fucking friendly when the johnnies were cut to pieces from the Turks.

  • @SuperQuiller don't forget that it was the anzac johnies who came from the other side of the world to cut the Mehmets into pieces.

  • ZEITGEIST ADDENDUM. War isn't glorious.

  • April 25th 2015 100 years on RESPECT

  • 1915 Gallipoli here where is humanity won over the war

  • British thought Turks would be scared and easily give up, just like indians, africans, arabs...Turks are from a quality source, they are descendants of Khans in Asian Minor, they are courage from the East as some historian put it!

  • Gallipoli they slaughtered them, the Turkish weren't the enemy, they were fighting for their country, the British command were the bloody enemy and the Kiwi Generals. The Anzacs and the Turks were good people, good warriors, to hell with the English.

  • @vespacurry You dickhead the english lost soilders at gallipoli ,you can have a go at the genarals but dont disrespect the memory of the english soilders.

  • @vespacurry sorry? which new zealand general was the enemy?

  • Youth of Turkey's future, even in

such circumstances it is your duty to save Turkish Independence and the

Republic. You will find the strength you need in your noble blood.

  • turks are very bravery gentleman warriors

  • the turkish infantry fought hole days whitout ammounition... but they are not easy to beat :)

  • welcome to gallipoli :)

    canakkale gecilmez....!

  • canakkale gecilmez mate..there was noway !!!

  • prisoners of great britain....lol

  • if you study history well you would have known what happened between Armenians and Turks! Armenians were even serving as Prime Ministers and Ministers in Ottoman Empire! Again your genetical bosses Brits! pushed them against to Ottomans to collapse from inside! since Brits couldn't able to do from outside! Turks will not top off anybody unless there will be attack to their soil! Now, Brits repending and supporting Turkey for that accusations since they know the truth!!!

  • you can suck my dick ...armenian bastard

  • Comment removed

  • Before the coming of the white man there was no Australia or New Zealand.

I belive World War I was a pointless waste of lives but I still respect and honour the memory of those who died fighting a pointless conflict.

By the way what happened happended to all those Armenians the Turks topped off?

  • dude Armenians killed millions too and even into the 1990's they slaughtered whole villages of Azeris, the Turks killed the Armenians in the early 20th century, the Ottoman empire was collapsing from north Africa to the ME, a continuous perpetual state of war- and the Turks had to fight for their own sovereignty, that said people should honour the dead on both sides and both sides should admit their hands are bloody with genocide

  • @Jack105e this is forum between two brave nations Turks and ANZACS. Keep away the other minor nations. Do not blur the subject with other matters.

  • nickname997, your comment is great and %100 true! Not only Australia and New Zealand they wouldn't let Turks enter the rest of British Commonwealth countries! By the way what happened to Aboriginees, the real owners of Australia?

  • Pretty sure most of live in Western Australia, they live off Centrelink (Government fund) and live in government housing. They drink lots of cheap alcohol and cause a lot of violence.

  • @lolreallylongusernam Thats bullshit mate. Some drink goon and pick fights in QLD as well.

  • why??because of the goverment sport them with drugs and free cocaine,ha???just go and see syndey rentfern area?can police touch them even if sale drug???ozzy life fucked up everything

  • hey is it just me but this should be on every anzac day instead of nothing being on when i was little were always heaps of movies cmon aussies fuck 80% of our kids think d day was gallipoli

  • kids should be made to watch documentaries at school.

have you seen "Colour of war : The ANZACs"? its on ww2 but its still amazing and kids would learn from it.

  • @Henza9218 i agree they have no movies or shows on, its stupid cos i like watching the Gallipoli movies like "The Tunnel Rats" but they dont have any

  • @Henza9218 Well I'm 16 and I sure by god no the difference between D-Day and the Australian New Zealand Army Core landing on Galipolli, I marched in Melbourne the latest ANZAC day and Im joing the ADF next year.

  • Hahaha! Australians etc. are so pathetic that they just have one single battle in their history haha! If Turkish troops would have landed in Australia, would their grandsons come to Australia to remember them? NO! Turkey would be a genocide making, barbaric, monster who cowardly attacked Australia.

  • hmm 1 battle ay there where hundreads on the western front middle east then there ww2 torbruk

kokoda tarkan el almein battle of britain we were there kiwis mote casino vietnam long tan yeah one battle and in galipoli aussie lost about 8 thousand turkish 86 thousand

  • Your a bit of a rest of the world hating kind of American aren't you?

  • @666HellKnight Not sure whom you were addressing, but here in Texas, we have nothing but respect for ANZAC fighting men. We know how tough you guys are both in war and sports, and we are glad we've been on the same through many wars.

  • @ryznaga Respect, thanks man. (From an ex Aussie soldier)

  • @ryznaga Thankyou, no offence but alot of Americans doubt us and think we were just a waste of space and time in ww2, and they still bitch about "ohhh our navy seals are way better than your SASR ohohohoho", who the fuck cares, there all there to protect for there reasons.

  • @nikandrews After the war, the Japanese said the Chinese and Aussies were the toughest soldiers they faced. You guys are awesome. Props from Texas, where toughness is appreciated. Of course, that stupid wharf strike your workers staged during the war was insane, but you aside from that, you killed it.

  • @ryznaga Just so you know, it was the wharfies who refused to load ships with scrap metal destended for Japan. This is before the war broke out, as it was obvious that very shortly they would be comming back at us as bombs.

  • @IndiaRshit That may be true, but it doesn't explain why they went ahead and sat out the war on strike. Hey, we had our bozos, too. Did you know that a Chicago newspaper ran a FRONT PAGE story about how we had broken the Japanese code in 1943? The government nearly went crazy with anger, but luckily, no one in Japan saw the paper, lol.

  • @nikandrews At least we can all argue about who was tougher in our win. Better to be friends who argue than to be enemies fighting each other. I was in NZ a few years ago, (loved it, btw) and there seemed to be a growing concern about Indonesia, being that they are one of the most populous countries in the world, and that they were Musilm. is this concern still prevalent?

  • @ryznaga I do find it quite frustrating how many mini-series and docomentaries have been done about the australian troops in gallipoli but hardly any about the new zealand troops which almost 3000 died.

  • Hey finally a yank who shows the Aussies some respect.

You lot can kick the arse out of a convential army but you've gotta adapt to counter insurgency and guerilla warfare, hearts and minds mate.

Not saying you ain't trying but, you know?

  • @Jaihadist I hear you. Actually, in terms of air war, our mistakes made in Vietnam totally revolutionized tactics--the planes today are fairly well adapted to insurgent fighting. Yes, mistakes are made, but huge improvement in at least that area. Regardless, no one has ever pacified the Afghans, and I doubt we will.

  • Actually Australia has more then one battle to it's name Beeresheba, Romani, Somme, Ypres, Battle Of Britain, El Alemain, Kokoda, Long Tan.

    Just to name a few.

  • @nickname997,fuck your mum's pussy stupit cunt, whr are ya?i live in kingcross area.come over here and i show you genocide fucken moron

  • @Nickname997 - There's more than one battle in our history.

  • australians new zealanders canadians americans all are brits.

  • w00t Peter Jackson is making a movie about the anzacs and gallipoli to pay tribute.

  • The Auzzies were the first ashore and forged inland. It was said by those who were there that when the Turks fired thier big guns, men would hear the incoming shell and seek cover, the ANZACS would just call it a "Bastard" and carry on.

  • May the ANZAC fellows rest in piece in Turkish soil. They were brave and gentlemen. I am not sure If I can say the same for english soldiers.

    /A turkish fellow

  • May all the soldiers of all nationality rest in peace. I dont know of any real soldier that would call himself a gentleman. Unless his first name was Rupert, which means he was probaly a twat.

  • @Mynameisyoucan Fuck you dickhead first its not english its british soilders, and they lost more soilders than any other commenwealth country so dont disrespect there memory.

  • @baywalker71

Calm down kid. I have not insulted any british soilders in my comment. Do you have any problem in understanding plain text?

  • @MynameisyoucanNo ! You insulted english soildiers saying they weren't brave and they weren't gentleman

  • @baywalker71 You say there called british and not english, here is a previous pst from you.

quote "baywalker71 @vespacurry You dickhead the english lost soilders at gallipoli ,you can have a go at the genarals but dont disrespect the memory of the english soilders"

  • @nikandrews I said English because he singled out the English instead of saying british(english, scots, welsh, irish)

  • @Mynameisyoucan My grandfather was in a british yeomanry regiment and saw action in the 3 battles for Gazza and Beersheba he spoke highly of the Turkish soldiers who he said were brave and honourable. the Anzacs he said lost many men because they had serious problems with poor discipline among the troops they were either very good or a total liability (especially those from Western Australia for some unknown reason)

  • @Adrigal1234 i think you will find there was terrible leadership from the british commanders that caused the ill disipline from the ANZAC troops at gallipoli, they had been used by the british throughout the war as cannon fodder. Believe me i am not anti-british, i lived there for a while i have an english wife and half english children, BUT the leadership of the british officers towards the ANZAC troops was disgracefull. I am a proud new zealander and we have a very proud military history.

  • @pramboy09 Thats interesting and I have no difficulty in believing what you say, about the terrible leadership but how and why did this lead to poor discipline in the ranks ? and is poor High command leadership a good enough excuse Good discipline is mutually beneficial to all. A well disciplined army quite often (although not exclusively) suffers fewer casualties poor discipline can get your friends and allies killed. Its an interesting subject thats for sure.

  • you call that a bayonet, this is a bayonet
