It's all me, dude! Just plugged the instruments into logic pro and played the changes. I still have the midi data, but you would have to plug it into the right instruments for it to make any sense.
what is it called when you like play all the extra notes out of the actual song.. is it like going back and forth up and down the scale or what because i really want to play like this
very nice! I played The Dream years ago for a friends wedding, and have since lost the midi file I created for that. would you be willing to share it? BTW...what mic are you using?
Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade but wasn't the original played on a Yam 62? I'm sure I saw a credit for Yamaha saxophones on "A Change Of Heart"... Could be wrong.
i think i know why you don't sound exactly like david. i think it's too much echo or editing on your sound. it's only a thought though lol. STILL AMAZING.
I created it myself using Logic Studio with a Yamaha MOTIF XS8 Midi Controller. All of the sounds are from the Logic Library. Fairly simple chord progressions for a mediocre keyboard player like me.
Yes, a dukoff D-6......... just like David Sanborn. However, even with the same horn and mouthpiece, I just can't get that hard, edgy sound that David Sanborn has. Guess I've just played straight-up jazz too long. Just goes to show you that the embochure and physics of lungs and oropharynx can make more of a difference than equipment.
Well yeah in that sense every player is unique. But actually sanborn plays a dukoff d8 modified by Wil Grazzle in Berlin I think.. Another important thing is how different mark vis are, he actually uses a 6 digit (gives the players who are looking to buy hope:)) Also do you lay a Harrison lig as well??
hello....Im looking for this song along time...please can you send me this background?....I"m sax player professional but working many time single (sax with track).......thank you
p.s. I have many songs by david sanborn(minus one)you need?....I send for you

I've spent ages trying to work it out and I can't, plus i've searched everywhere and can't find it :-(

@SmudgeTheCat110 That was all by ear, but I think that there is a Sanborn fakebook somewhere out there. Try Aebersold's website.

gongrats, really great video, but, beware, you exaggerated a little in reverb and your fingers where a little high,

what do you think about the selmer serie II super action 80 and the reference in classical and jazz is best the selmer serie II ? what do you think?
sebitas9000 2 years ago
i think the reference is better but i dont care for either. i'd say get a yanagisawa a991 or a992. they have a tone closer to the guys in the video

AMT Elite Roam. I'm using the 'Duet' by apogee interface with logic 8. Processing is all done within logic.

I've heard really good things about the reference 54. I'm just a mark Vi fanatic ........... I feel younger when my horn is older than I am!

Thanks. I really like that grungy old mark VI. Nothing else I've ever played comes even close. It's got a soul of it's own I believe.
