Shit man, get rid of all the casinos that the old farts play in in this town, and then restore the "original" saloon number 10 across the street. Only then you can say you have some "real" restoration of the town then!
I live in Deadwood, and this clip is a lie! Wild Bill was not killed in the current #10 Saloon...he was killed in the "Original Saloon #10" , down and accross the street. The chair is not history, and the bar is not the history. The bloodstains are paint....come visit, and ask the "real locals".....not the tourist shit! But...the Saloon #10 is a great place to visit, lots of memorabilia....and alot of fun! We just want our history to be accurate!
family-oriented ? what the fuck ? you call that shit restoration ? i don't think that saloons in the old west were meant for children, fucking cunts don't have no fucking respect for anything nomore
Jay T. Rockwell made my 8 year old son feel like the most important kid in the world on August 17th, 2009. Wild Bill spent 20 minutes with him at the No. 10 Saloon and gave him advice on doing well in school. My son was star struck and will never forget his positive experience with Wild Bill. Jay T. had also picked my son to be in his reenactment a year earlier which also made my son feel special.
I hope that Jay T. will continue to work magic on kids for many years to come. Great guy.
@schaumton the original location of saloon number 10, not even called the #10 at that time, was where the lucky nugget gambling hall now stands. i think the city of deadwood should really set the record straight. i totally understand why tourists are upset about this fact.
they are wearing tennis shoes, but that's because people in the crowd are asked to be part of the re-enactment. The people in the crowd don't all have boots on! (I got to be a part of it one time, and I was wearing sandals :>)
What's with the cowboy actors in that last scene wearing tennis shoes??? Come on, guys! At least wear some boots and look the part. This is Deadwood, not a gymnasium.

An exciting tour, thanks.
The horror of seeing a handgun used as a pointer (2:04) was really quite a thrill.

I wonder if this "re-enactor" knows that the #10 burnt down after Wild Bill died and the new one is in a different location from the original.
All they really share is the name, so this whole clip is BS.

too bad the chair is fake. because the original 10 burned down in 1879. not trying to be a douche here, just pointing history in the right direction.

and its not even the place where he was killed, it was across the street, i was a little disappointed when i found that out while i was there
