  • hmmm i really want to try this but im kinda worried because my hair is so dry, thin and wispy. my scalp looks almost balding but the ends of my hair are ratty/frizzy. would this treatment make my hair look flat and lifeless?

  • @DivaLatinaANNI Best to go into a professional salon for a consultation. Sounds like there could be issues with thinning. Seek a salon that provides hair care to determine if keratin smoothing is right for you. I would like for your expectation to be clear on how keratin would work on your hair.

  • I'm biracial and let me tell you... my hair is so frizzyyyyyyyy and multi textured that I just wanted to chop it off at some point in my life till I discovered Coppola... :) <3 my hair's amazing now <3 soft wavy curls ;)

  • @gloreeya I too am loving my Coppola Smoothing Treatment and have been using the product over 3 years. Glad you found it and your hair is more manageable. I can go longer between each treatment.

  • I'm having a hard time believing the photos of the white girl. Her hair was past her shoulders when curly and frizzy. It was also a medium brown color. After the treatment, her hair is still only about shoulder length, and is now a deep brunette? Unlikely... Hair that curly and big would be at least waist length once straightened out.

  • @BeautyFetish The "white girl" is bi-racial. Some of her hair was CUT. Hair that is very dry always looks lighter before care. When dry hair is hydrated it always looks darker. We work with clients with all hair textures. Your comments are interesting; however, not sure of the source of cynicism.

  • Is this product like a perm where if I get it I can not go back natural???? PLEASE ANSWER :D

  • @sooooooooosexyphilly Unlike a "relaxer" Coppola Keratin Smoothing Treatment WILL NOT get your hair straight. When the hair is shampooed it will be wavy. Your curl pattern will be relaxed (straighter than before), but not straight. With blow dry and ceramic iron stying you will be smooth, shiny and the hair will resist humidity much better than even a relaxer. As for my personal case, I have used the product 3 years. If I don't heat style and just air dry, my hair is big curly fro...ok?

  • @salonbaptiste Okay, also, does this effect growth? does it help speed up growth because of the protein?

  • @sooooooooosexyphilly hair growth is based on a healthy body and hair care after it grows from the scalp. Most clients feel like the treatment makes their hair grow; however, less breakage is what's actually going on. Less breakage allows you to trim less and get more fullness in the air. Also styling with heat on hair that has the keratin treatment is less damaging when compared to natural hair or relaxed hair. A healthy person should grow about 1/2" of hair a month or 6" a year.

  • The product doesn't smell like anything you described. Just be aware that all kerating treatments are not the same. At Salon Baptiste we are using the Keratin Smoothing Treatment by Coppola.

  • does the product stink like perm solution that either smells like rotton eggs & or fromaldehyde (sic)? My hair is super frizzy Colombian hair (like of soccer player Valderrama). I need help!!

  • @oromuisca The product doesn't smell like anything you described. Just be aware that all kerating treatments are not the same. At Salon Baptiste we are using the Keratin Smoothing Treatment by Coppola.

  • Howmany ounces have they used?

  • @janjanlove Are you asking how many ounces of keratin treatmentj is used? It will vary with the length, density, and porisity of the hair. varies with client; however, each strand should be covered in detail. There should not be excessive product used.

  • I just had this done! Washed it today 72 hs later. My hair is super curly and frizzy, I'm half Ukrainian half Cuban . Before I had to use products and round brush and flat iron. All I had to do was dry it with a hairdryer and brush, not even round brush!! It took 15 minutes. Feel super silky and smooth! I posted 3 videos under Keratin Complex. Check it out!

  • clients wait 36 hrs before I wash and style their hair, so that I already know, I also know Keratin will not last 5 months for every cllient, some after two to three months have to get it done. I also went to few classes, watched video and unfortunatly every teacher has different method of teaching and some are hairstylist some are just sales person whom teach. I dont think it is a good product for aftrican american hair

  • @shirini999 Wow...sorry you feel this way. I am AA and have been using the product on my hair for 1 year. Also, I have several AA clients who are using the product and are very happy because they can do more creative things with permanent color that they could never achieve using relaxer. Wondering what brands of Keratin you're using/being trained on, I looked at several brands over 2 years and decided on Coppola Kerating Smoothing. They were voted #1 by stylist on a BehindtheChair survey.

  • I was told if they wash their hair in a day or two instead of three they will maintain their cursl, however, I also found out they need relaxer in between that happens to you?

  • @shirini999 Please do not shampoo sooner than recommended. You will still have a smoother more defined curl pattern. Kerating Smoothing wears off. After 5 months you will revert back to your natural curl pattern and if you stop heat styling it will happen sooner.

  • so can my natural clients go back to wearing wavy curls on days they dont want to straighten their hair?? thats the question i keep getting...they want no frizz and str8 hair but they dont want their curl pattern to change...HELP

  • @laKeishaMichelle Yes you can wear wavy/curyl hair on the days you do not blow dry and silk out the hair. After repeated Keratin applications, the hair does become smoother, but never straight. The product wears off. After 5 months you will definately see the hair revert back to it's natural curl.
